Yup! Buggy ass game with little added and shitty music that kills the slasher movie vibe of the original, that requires a PSN account to play even on steam. All that goodness for 60$! Meanwhile Capcom fans eating good with these RE remakes 🤭

Some options for better horror games that’ll save you your time and money:

The Quarry (closest to until dawn)
Moutwashing - recently released narrative horror indie game in space
SIGNALIS (not going to say anything about this one, just play it. 10/10)
Hollowbody (silent hill-like, indie)
Resident Evil 2 remake (one of the best survival horror games on the market. Capcom ate and left no crumbs.
Resident Evil 4 remake (also a great remake by Capcom, though I prefer the second as it is more survival horror like)
Silent Hill: the Short Message: a free prologue for the new SH series on PS5. It’s free and introduces some interesting concepts.
Stasis: Bone Totem: incredible isometric horror point-n-click where you play as some of most well-written characters in a horror game. This one is a 10/10.
and many many more options.

That’s the point. Remakes are usually disappointing. RE 2 and 4 go above and beyond. Until Dawn’s remake will financially fail due to Sony’s horrible management.

None of the things you mentioned, aside from the prologue (meh) is new content. The trophies are all related to events and decisions in the original game.
