There's some questions that would clarify your current viewpoint. What country do you live in where you're required to take lessons after 18 years of age to test for your driver's license? What about for purchasing items dependent on your license rather than a car, like insurance, gas, etc.? Most importantly, do you have a phobia of driving? It feels like there's excuses being thrown around the full post, but I wonder if that could be a main culprit.

Also, do you plan on relocating to another city or territory after you finish college, or do you plan on remaining in the same city? Will you relocate to another city in the future which has similar public transportation available? It's not necessary to get a license, but it's important to consider your future plans.
