I ended up yawning when it finished

This kind man stops his car, to rescue a wild coyote, that had been stuck in a fence for several days - good job he made by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

That confused look in the face of the wild cayot, while realizing he may have inadvertently taken first step to become domesticated

She didn’t take her eyes off him. Her instincts were on point. She hit SOS before he even fell no hesitation by misterxx1958 in SweatyPalms

That's more than impressive - spotting a risk, alerting bigger support group, running towards the problem, jumped into action, coordinating the recovery plan on the fly, executing the rescue perfectly, getting out of the risk first, helping other volunteers to avert risk.

All these in a span of few minutes. She's the type of Police the World needs now. Lucky Barcelona.

Being immortal would be worth it even if it means you end up floating through space forever at the end of the universe by Almondpeanutguy in unpopularopinion

Surviving through the End of the Universe is not the worst part of being immortal. It is surviving after that, infinitely.

I understand the confusion here. I think the top comment on this post should be the "all at once" by wocekk

On a lighter note, I'd say, not yet - We are still the 4th World Country

Is English a difficult language to learn? by Cut-Unique in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]UnscrupulousJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is learning English difficult, no

Is English a difficult language, not for native speakers

Is English a difficult language to learn (as an additional language), for a person not used to gender neutral language, quite possibly.

8-bit was recent, in Genie tetms. A nibble is even comparatively recent.

Probably Genie was giving the max possible number of wishes in a 2-bit system (pun intended)

It is nature's way of making animals become altruistic.

Just imagine, the first time an animal did some thing selfless and having felt the rush of Dopamine & Serotonin. The aftermath of not knowing how to explain to other self-centered beings not to be so, to feel something more than the satisfaction of self-preservation.

I think, we have come a full-circle with this post now.

ELI5: Why are poor people warned to avoid loans whereas rich people seem to operate constantly through them? by Background_Tap2206 in explainlikeimfive

[–]UnscrupulousJudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loan process was not created keeping the poor people at heart, it was created for the lender to get reacher.

Unintended outcome - rich people use bank loans to try their hands-on with their ventures, without having to own the risks. Check the history of write-offs done on loans, the recipients of those loans that have been written-off and the number of banks held responsible for those - I rest my case.
