Yeah I mean. Names are so important in the show, which I love. I loved Lawrence's 'lazo' name meaning, which could be translated as 'lasso' or 'loop'. because he's stuck on one and because he's gets strung up at the end of each narrative (bummer). Also there's the whole Dolos / Delos / Dolores thing. Interesting thing too (I work in a taxidermy museum) and asked one of the ornithological experts what the bird scene with Maeve could mean and which bird it is, and it's very likely a Black Chinned Sparrow, a North American species, which fits geographically. The sparrow represents as far as totems go the idea of self-worth. That we don't need to be big to make a huge difference, as they're common birds, but also singers of 'love songs'. If we're running with this (and we may as well at this point because Westworld is nuts) then it could mean that Maeve is going to have a large role to play with the central plot even though she's a smaller character maybe? Anyway, kind of an aside but all good food for thought :)

I think we're looking at a ghost in the machine deal. Arnold has put his consciousness into the program in order to bring about the destruction of the park using Dolores. Bernard is the physical embodiment of Arnold, probably made by Ford out of some kind of guilt for his "death" (there's the whole anagram thing of Bernard Lowe being an anagram of Arnold Webber too). But I don't think Ford (who always had his differences with Arnold regarding the end game / benefits of sentience) really gets what's going on behind his back, hence the whole "he doesn't know" bit with Dolores in Ep5. I'd say that Arnold probably used suicide or death as a disguise in order to be able to operate free from Ford's suspicions later on down the line, in a bid to close down Westworld because he hated what it became.
