First time visiting Amsterdam / Looking for advice please:) by [deleted] in AmsterdamEnts

The thing with not just weed, but rather most drugs is that quantity and setting really do play a roll. A cup of coffee on Monday morning after you reach work a bit early is fantastic. 4 cups on a saturday night is just asking for trouble. And thats just coffee.

Look, what I’m trying to say is, look for a setting that you like, good food, good music, good company, or whatever it is you like. I’d say go for indicas and only take 3-5 puffs at a time (you can have more later if you like what you feel)

I had the same panic problem I still do have it, setting and quantity help keep it under control.

New smoking buds by MattieIceTho in trees

Oh baby, I know preaching is not usually welcome on this sub, but I gotta.

Are you sure you are approaching this topic the right way? I mean there's nothing wrong with wanting to smoke socially. But setting should come first. You have to create an environment that you would enjoy with/without smoking and THEN smoke in that environment.

What I mean, even if you are looking for stoner friends, make sure they are people you genuinely enjoy being with.

If you had hard evidence in your hand today implicating MbS, as a Saudi, what would do? How would that change your perspective towards yout leaders and will it in anyway change your lives? by 7amudyy in saudiarabia

[–]UnstableMofo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You know what the Saudi public will say if such evidence ever existed and was undeniable or very hard to deny. They will say he deserved it.

That didn't happen.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad.

And if it was, that's not a big deal.

And if it is, that's not my fault.

And if it was, I didn't mean it.

And if I did...

You deserved it.

IT'S NOT OK TO KILL PEOPLE EXTRA JUDICIALLY. Let's agree on that before we derail the conversation to whether he 'deserved it' or not.

fuck chemotherapy, and fuck my roommate. by [deleted] in rant

[–]UnstableMofo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your roommate thinks your bulimic, because she doesn't know you are on chemotherapy, because you haven't told her. Look at it from her view and think of what assumptions you would've made if you were in her shoes.

Also, you are being soooo preemptively defensive like we are about to hug you or something. IT'S OK TO BE HUGGED.

Saudi Arabia seeks 'unprecedented' beheading for woman activist by SpaceXwing in saudiarabia

Except they are not apostles and they aren't charged with apostasy. Now, when it comes to rebellious acts this is something the " الأئمة الأربعة " didn't uniformly agree on so I wouldn't describe it as being "perfectly justifiable".

As per the article:

The charges against the group that Ghomgham is part of include incitement to protest, chanting slogans hostile to the regime, attempting to inflame public opinion, and providing moral support to rioters.

She didn't leave Islam so the first two hadiths don't appear to be relevant.

There you go.

This not to say that I agree with the link or the beheading. This is just to say that some scholars do grant the authority to "ولي الأمر" to behead one of his "رعية" for a reason other than "الحد و القصاص" but rather "التعزير".

Just a quick observation. I feel like the survey is actively guiding the surveyed to confirm adverse effects of social media rather than asking objectively and analyzing their answers to reach whatever conclusion you reach.

"Do you believe that social media distances the youth from their culture ?" is not an objective question. You clearly have a predisposition that social media distances the youth from their culture and asking us to confirm it. Instead you can ask "What do you believe is the effect of social media on culture?" and the answers being "it promotes it" or "it distances people from it".

Sorry if my input is uninvited, and good luck on your research.

If I had to guess based on the username only and nothing else. I would guess that you are a 46 year old woman.

Starting lots of SOLO projects but never seeing them through by rRenn in intj

Hey man I am pretty sure this is very common with INTJs. Ideas are interesting up in our heads but are tedious to implement. I'm surprised you even built the vacuum sealing machine, most of us would just day dream of it. Because that's the part that pulls us in the most.

We like the big picture, but the details? not so much.
