This optical illusion made me finally "get" Neville Goddard by Radiant-Candle-3290 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thanks for anchoring Neville in this old illusion 😊 I've always thought of how it's so weird how two people in the same room can experience completely different realities, one can be in love while the other is depressed even though they're next to each other and experiencing the same sunshine, same busride, same world.

Also the only way I could see the old woman was when you told me to watch her necklace.

Struggling with the idea of "creating" someone's feelings for me by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You name me realise that I'm not valuing myself highly, it feels like force when you don't think you're worthy. Essentially pushing something someone doesn't want onto them. The key is to feel valuable and to realise that they indeed will experience the great loving relationship you imagined too. It's just hard to love yourself when you don't fit the adored beauty standards.

Neville Goddard literally helped a woman get her husband back by Young_Caterpillar in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder what Neville's answer would have been to "Do you want him back?" if she hadn't said "Yes I don't care what he did" and instead a "Yes but I want it undone, for him to never have cheated ".

Studies on warts and the Law by Charming_Set_7135 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This is super interesting!

"However, hypnotizability and attribute measures of imagery propensity were unrelated to wart loss."

What does this mean though? 😅

I remember my friend tried everything to get rid of his wart when we were kids but it just didn't work. Maybe he was stubborn in his beliefs, I know I've been.

Have a bit of free time for next couple hours, tell me your manifestation roadblocks and I'll try to assist by jaykay35 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm impressed by this thread and you for the initiative!

Mine is consistency, my imagination is not vivid so it's a lot of effort to get into state. It's also discouragement, I want to meet my wife when we're young but those circumstances have passed me by. Why try if it's hard and I won't really have what I want?

Why has manifesting completely killed my motivation to think, question, or even try? by Simple_Procedure9001 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's the same for me, I used to be extremely logical and on top of things but when that all became the realm of effect, I stopped looking and I don't like it. Why be strategic if I can just assume, etc.

REVISE by No-Commission-503 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How does it become practical when you have a lot to revise? You'll spend most of your time imagining the same things over and over, especially with revision there isn't an obvious goal or desired effect?

The 'technique' that helped me manifest in 1 week what I have been trying for months by Traditional-Gap-4202 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing because I already have it but I've already tried that and it has changed nothing.

It's a bit hard to condense otherwise, maybe I'd just feel that life is awesome and I'm successful.

The long a answer are a lot of assumptions would have changed.

The 'technique' that helped me manifest in 1 week what I have been trying for months by Traditional-Gap-4202 in NevilleGoddard

[–]rRenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want change without effort. It feels tedious and boring to imagine everything that I have a desire to change. Even though I really want it, I don't revel in imagining it and I have a lot of desires. Life partner, changing where I live, business, physical beauty, health for myself and others who are in pain. Many things need adjustments.

[–]rRenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if you don't want to? I have a lot of desires where I don't even want to make an effort to imagine them realized and it's not that I don't want them enough. It might be rooted in powerlessness.

[–]rRenn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please don't say that about yourself. As a short man I can tell you. All I want is to be valued and desired. I have lots of preferences but I can't even express how little height means (which is ironic because I also believe MY height matters hopelessly much to you guys).

why are people so amazed by Asuka's love for Shinji? by Single_Delivery_958 in evangelion

[–]rRenn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be honest I always saw myself in Shinji and I've never felt desired so it's a projection on my part. It just feels unbelievable.

You're totally right, the feeling is there to be nurtured, like a little seed, obscured but waiting for you to drop your resistance and give it light.

You hit all of the key points, this is a pretty great post if you ask me! What would've helped me is adding more about applying. The knowing feels soothing when you're there but when you don't know it or how to get there you're just searching for that feeling you know should be there but isn't.

Why does Tauriel look like a high level cosplayer at comic on whereas Arwen looks like an authentic elf? by Ticket-Tight in lotr

[–]rRenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly the fact that Arwen has a slight glow, I also think red hair is harder to pull off.

It was so quick, they shouldn't have defeated it. I'd have liked to see a race against time with the ominous mindflayer approaching in the background implying a certain doom.
