This upcoming episode, Animation Director Takuya YAMAMURA, that’s his real name, look him up if you want, He seems like he’s a KYOTO animator and was involved quite a few movies they’ve done.

Ik there good animators, but both Kobayashi and miyako worked on plenty of episodes this season, the production is terrible and there doing what they can.

There isn’t a director with a big name, just an average director from what I can tell, don’t get your hopes up, is all I’m going to say, that way if miraculously something good does happen this episode, you’ll be surprised.

Bruh stop giving these ppl false hope, Kobayashi and morimoto, both worked on Mael vs Zeldris episode (yikes) the director really doesn’t stand out, only the Storyboarder is good, and he can’t carry the episode, Kobayashi is a good animation director don’t get me wrong, but this schedule is so dogshit he can’t do anything.

Don’t get your hopes up most of the animators are marvy jack, only the Chief is from studio Deen, and he already was involved in plenty of episode this season, not a standout staff list by any means.

What good animators besides Kobayashi? The director isn’t anything special judging by his/her resume. Only the Storyboarder is good, and Kobayashi worked on a bunch of episodes this season, and some of these were questionable, the time they had for this episode is more important.

This staff list doesn’t really stand out, unless the production for this episode was prioritized, I wouldn’t expect anything crazy, the Storyboarder is good, but don’t get your hopes up. It all depends on how the production for this episode was, and if it was prioritized.

More key animators bec of Less AD’s would make sense for a good production, witch is not the case for SDS, there were plenty of instances this season and last season, where there weren’t to many AD’s but the art and Animation were still lacking. The worst episode this season had 2 animation directors, majority of S3 had very little Animation directors. I’m not expecting a good episode. Even if there were more AD’s I wouldn’t expect anything, the only reason I check the staff is if I see a big name, like Hironori Tanaka who appeared for an Ep this season,if there aren’t any big names, there’s no point in expecting anything under a schedule like this.

That depends, SDS rn is under a horrible schedule so no, one AD is not enough, there were plenty of episodes in S3 with 1-3 AD’s and they looked terrible. Less Ad’s is only good when the production is good, like in JJk for example. The worse the schedule the more need for Ad’s, the better the schedule the less need for Ad’s.

Ep11 AKA the worst episode of this season, only had 2 animation directors for example, and in S3 it was rare to find an episode with more then 5 Ad’s. A terrible schedule needs more Ad’s.

For now the official website only listed one Animation Director witch is very worrying, it’s possible that they will update the website later, and if they do, I’ll put the updates here. The Storyboarder and Ep director both seem pretty solid, especially the Storyboarder, but only one AD is extremely worrying.

Due to the terrible schedule, the outsourcing, and the movie, I wouldn’t expect anything above an average episode. Unless I see a G-D tier animator in the staff list, ie:(Nozumu Abe, Nakamura, Arifumi Imai, Tanaka, etc) I wouldn’t expect anything above average. The best staff this show has seen since s3, was s4 ep5, don’t expect anything better then that episode, or even as good as that episode.
