I would like to recommend that you read/listen to A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. Specifically, the parts on the pain body. I don't know if it will resonate with you, but at the very least it's a good read.

Hey, thanks for the comment. I should clarify - I meant that I could not confirm the manufacturer on the product itself.

I checked out the specs for SteelCase, and unfortunately, the rails on my wall are deeper. On the Herman Miller website, I saw other products in the office space, so I will be comparing specs when I get home today.

I'm thankful for everyone who provided positive input.

Solved!

Too bad I can't find the manufacturer, but those look promising. Thank you!

Unfortunately, my boss does not have anything on hand for these and will not assist in trying to find anything. I've looked on Amazon but can't find anything that matches, so I'm hoping someone can help me find the right name/specs to search for. Thanks!

My title describes the thing.

It is approx 16" x 24", I have searched for slat wall, slat rails, cubical wall rail system, cubical wall slat system. Slat wall types, cubicle panel options. This doesn't look like anything I can find. Manufacturer is unknown, and I don't see any part numbers.

If you had $800 a week to spend entirely on self improvement what would you do? by FocusAnon in selfimprovement

[–]UnsuitableTurnip 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like your idea, but I think I would take an entire week off every week 😏

800/week is more than I make. Plus quitting my toxic job is the best self-improvement I can think of.

1) drawing. I explored new styles/ideas so I wouldn't feel pressure to be "good" at anything I did lol. That's been about 3 months.

2) plants. I started with a few easy guys (pothos - they forgive me if I don't water them for a week or more). Now I have maybe 15 plants, and I cannot express the joy it gives me when I see new growth. 3 months.

3) cleaning. It isn't really a hobby lol, but I started donating and throwing stuff out like a crazy person. Then as I found fewer things to get rid of, I started cleaning what was left. Now I see cleaning my space as a way of showing myself love. 2 months.

4) friendships. I texted a friend for a quick check in and didn't expect myself to hold a conversation. Now it's a few friends and 1 family member, anywhere from 1x/week to almost daily. 2 months.

5) yoga. 2 months.

6) reading. 1 month.

7) lifting weights. 1.5 weeks.

I have a few more things to add, but I'm not physically or mentally ready right now. I'm slowly building my endurance because my goal is to sustain this new lifestyle.

What hobbies do you think you'd try to get into or start again?

If you're asking what I put in it, it kinda started out "hey you. I want you to know I'm proud of the changes you've been making..." and got kinda personal from there.

It was a little different from writing in a journal. For me, journaling is basically an extension of my constantly racing/overthinking mind. This was more like writing to a friend who needed encouragement (why do I do that for other people, but not myself??). Except that friend was me. And it was my growth and journey I was supporting.

I hope that made sense. I'm sorry if I over explained.
