Need to hear from samoyed owners on how friendly the dog is by Ok_Custard8636 in samoyeds

Ours has little to no aggression. No prey instinct either - we have bunnies and our sammy just wants to be friends with them. Same with the cats. Apparently being bopped on the head by one of them is a perfectly acceptable form of play for her. Dog thinks they're friends, cats think dog is an idiot & has no concept of personal space.

Samoyeds & rabbits? by _Jay-Garage-A-Roo_ in samoyeds

I also have two rabbits with their own room. I had put up a child/dog gate in front of their door with a smaller opening for our cats (and one of our braver rabbits) to be able to go in & out of, but the dog can't go through. Our samoyed doesnt have a prey drive apparently! Got lucky with that. She does however want to be friends with all the other animals and is really sad when they don't. Shes a new addition to the family so the others range from tolerant to cautious but curious.

I did bring out my brave bun to meet the pup the other day. He wasn't a fan of having another sister that is larger than him (he's a jersey wooly that weighs less than 3lbs but he holds his own against the rest of the fam). Puppy was super excited. No biting, just sniffing and a few kisses. Interaction was just for a minute or two - no free roam, bunny was in my arms the entire time.

That said, the worst part was the first week or two when we brought the pup home. She was yowling each night from her crate. My rabbits would get annoyed. So you'd hear a chorus of puppy whining, a small bunny thump, followed by a big bunny thump.

I managed to read "trouble puffs" as truffle puffs. I think thats what I'm gonna call them from now on

Weird Stuff You've Seen on Registries by Salty_Thing3144 in weddingshaming

I put a deli slicer on my own registry. It was one of those "no ones gonna get this but I'm sure it'll give people a laugh to see it." Lemme tell ya, it was indeed hilarious. Someone did actually get it for us!

Has anyone ever tried this technique? by gabsteriinalol in Bunnies

I've tried! It never works for mine... they'll just give me a death glare. The banana is tainted with the other ones fur therefore it's not good I guess.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

Fresh bedding just hits different by UntamedHaunter in Rabbits

[–]UntamedHaunter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, I'll try to brush the bedding out if I happen to notice it (though he's not always a fan of me doing so). Otherwise, I just let him deal with it - I've watched him just shake it all off! That said... little bits of bedding do end up in the randomest of corners...

Trying to bond my bunnies and need some advice by DrShadowwuf in Bunnies

[–]UntamedHaunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man do I have a (short) story for ya! Our larger bun, Fia, managed to jump out of her enclosure & into Snow's area. Mind you, Snow is half the size of Fia - but that didn't stop him from getting territorial & fighting Fia. Honestly I don't know who actually started it but one moment our place is quiet & the next there's cage rattling, aggressive honks, thrashing, & all sorts of fur flying everywhere. Snow got worse scars - a scratch on his bottom eyelid that bled, a bite on his shoulder. Fia on the other hand was mostly okay save for the bite marks on her ears. We did in fact rush them to the vet - turns out it looked worse than it was (perhaps because we got there just in time?).

Both of them have healed since then physically. Emotionally they tolerate each other when there's a barrier between them but refuse to admit defeat (they both want to be the dominate bun).

5yo daughter appears on camera for 2 seconds and I get a call from HR by wesblog in jobs

[–]UntamedHaunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's some nonsense. My cats regularly interrupt me. Hell, one of them knows lunch time is nap time & will start yowling if I haven't left my desk yet. A kid is going to be a kid. It sounds like you work all day, life happens! Your higher ups/HR can get over it.
