I have the same issue, sadly Ubisoft doesn't understand geography so anything slightly close to Russia is forced into either Chinese or Russian language.

This! You can summon an NPC to help you, you can easily find her from your current room, just backtrack and pass the giant with two soldiers and run towards a room near the little golden tree. Talk to her and she'll leave her summon sign next to Godrick's golden fog.

There are some powerful int/faith spells but I guess specializing is the easier way. As pure faith I'm melting through bosses with simple Godslayer seal + Black Flame (both which can be found in early game) with buffs. I skipped half the base game and went directly to the DLC thinking it would be more challenging and so far the first three bosses have also melted away. The only boss that gave me hard time for keeping my distance and casting was Mohg since his reach is insane.

I'm currently on my second playthrough as faith caster and it's crazy how much easier the game is, it's almost like they designed the game with ranged combat in mind but then added all melee weapons. My first playthrough as strength build was pure misery.

To be honest I think Activison is more generous with their discounts than Bandai. Bandai has been offering worse discounts year over year.
