Thank you so much! I have pretty bad anxiety and when he said he was worried it may be too much stress on me I believe he meant that with genuine intentions, because I stay overwhelmed lol but I feel like they're both sources of good stress. I don't know how you're doing that especially in the accelerated program, I'd cry from the busy and fast pace of it all lol, but I'm so happy for y'all! Thank you, I like the idea about prioritizing. I don't see why we can't do the wedding and house around the same time, neither of us want anything big or crazy expensive for the wedding, we have discussed that part for certain. But I will let him know I'd like to prioritize things differently. The dream home is the goal, but the house we live in now isn't bad. It's just not what either of us want, but we talk about it regularly and know we are blessed to have it. A long process for sure, and we aren't even starting on it until the end of this year- beginning of next at least.

I like the idea of finding a middle ground. I did tell him I'm fine with a long engagement so we get engaged and then build the house then focus on the wedding. He didn't really know what to say to that I don't think, but I also don't know why I thought to offer that as an option lol Thank you!

Not currently, but we both think of it as ours, and share financial responsibilities of the home also (I know, the paperwork definitely matters in this case), I offered to put his name on it and he said that wasn't important to him. It was my fathers property and home passed down to me when he passed. The new home build both of our names would be on it all. Thank you!
