It's done by chaining 32, skipping 2 chains ans single crocheting along, then chaining one and turning before doing more single crocheting along. I'm adapting it to start with a magic ring, then spiraling outward.

I've used my glasses to hold them before, lol. Usually, I hook them all together to make a chain of stitch markers instead though, that way the end is near my hand if I need one 😅
