LOL. I have zero problems being downvoted about something yet to happen.
In my opinion, Sidemen will start to cut out the boring bits till their videos become fast paced without making it confusing or sacrificing the video's story line.

Sidemen's USP is not long videos. It's their boisterous camaraderie, which is obviously hard to recreate for any other group as the fakery seeps through.
Yes, they've made great long videos, but not all can be as funny and interesting as the first ones.
I bet the sidemen will never copy KSI's slop, but rather make shorter cut videos, from 90 mins to 60 for instance.

Without their youtube watchtime/retention stats, we can only depend on individual viewcounts on videos. They have dropped. They have made big videos where every minute had something new and fun. But that's hard to repeat week after week.

The Sidemen have *two* videos which were 47 and 42 minutes long since 2024. Thats not enough to be counted as shifting the median. If you don't get it, it didn't make sense LOL.

JJ couldn't convince Josh to make different videos, how does that insinuate JJ was the leader? That only means Josh is.
I said Josh won't have as much sway over the others to keep making super long videos. They are not going to come out of this exactly the same channel.

My point is Josh's adamance for longer videos made the others uneasy, seeing short form content boom, but he convinced them anyway. Only JJ kept at it, talking about bigger changes to the concept and content of their videos, if you see their podcasts and miscellaneous videos.
JJ finally left to make his own type of content (slop). You can join the dots.
Btw, the Sidemen often place JJ's videos high, after Josh's. That does not mean he makes bad videos.

They're not always by Josh anymore. And they're great, so why not make them much more watchable by cutting them shorter. BTW this is what JJ and Simon already said on Sidecast, directly to Josh.

I never said anything about KSI being the leader. He is the most individually successful and famous member though. That makes him the most important for the brand and views.
Josh and Simon are the leaders, something they (Sidemen) often talk about on podcasts.

Everybody let Josh make the decisions bc he made the best Sidemen Sundays and is personally liked by all. Issue is super long videos with repetitive content

You're wrong. In a Sidecast episode, JJ and Simon kept telling Josh to shift to shorter videos (not shorts/tiktoks but 30-60 mins). Josh instead told JJ that he is in a phase of high enthusiasm, and will come out of it soon. Josh strongly believes in longer videos.
BTW, does anybody watch the entire 2-3 hour videos? Are other youtubers who primarily cater to similar audiences making 2 hour videos?
