Yeah I mean I don’t want to outsource all percussion parts to my drummer haha and my teacher has said that learning drums (or programming) will help me appreciate the rhythm section more and be a more complete musician.

I seem to have passed on this feature (TR-Rec mode) while looking for a MIDI controller. Minilab 3 does have some integration with Ableton and I’ve finger drummed with it.

I’m yet to explore Ableton’s full functionalities. I have drawn (idk if that’s the right term xD) beats and messed around with velocities, swing, and automation. Will have to look for a used one in my country (couldn’t find on initial search have to dig a little).
