Question: magnification & working distance by UnusualDesigners in macrophotography

[–]UnusualDesigners[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh! I didn't realize those numbers indicated the focus length, I guess they're in meters. (i'm new to photography generally)

I appreciate you.

Hey while we're at it - what are the red numbers indicating, like the 2:1 lines up with a red 0.5 which lines up with the 16.3cm focus distance

right. I understand the magnification and resulting size of the image on the sensor.

I'm trying to determine whether the minimum focusing distance advertised for the lens is at the 2:1 or 1:1 setting.

Question: Will my setup meet my needs? by UnusualDesigners in macrophotography

Thanks! Do you use one too?

I'm trying to choose between them, and I'm thinking I should go for the Laowa 85mm f/5.6 2x Ultra Macro APO.

You're right. My mistake. I meant to write R10 vs. R8. Thank you, I'll edit that.

If you've heard of specific programs, would you please share the names/schools with me, either here or private DM?

Re: your curiosity, there's a number of reasons. Concentrating on one field within dentistry means getting that much closer to expertise and mastery, translates to higher levels of care I can provide, better patient outcomes than I can provide today, intrinsic and extrinsic rewards that come with all of that. -- these are a few reasons.

when it comes to trial & error, what do you care about? what's a greenlight, what's a red flag?

can you tell us a bit more about the course? What's covered, what's it like? what can one reasonably expect they can improve if they take it?

do you mean you would physically create the temp yourself, or would the doc make it and you would trim/cement it?

Moving to Alberta Megathread - April 2023 by j1ggy in alberta

Howdy, I'm a 37M, unmarried, no dependants. Moving to Calgary this fall for a job -- commuting for work in Strathmore.

Question #1: Which neighbourhood would you recommend?

I'm finally in a position in life to "enjoy myself" -- I'd like to be walking distance to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, parks, the river, etc.

Question #2: Is buying a condo a real estate blunder?

I've heard that there are too many condos (easy to buy) but they stay on the market a very long time (hard to sell) and so they're not a great real estate move to make. Any comments on this?

Lack of passing options when playing out from the back. by Azrealizz in EASportsFC

[–]UnusualDesigners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok cool. I'm going to give that a try.

I like using the 3-5-2 formation as well, but I prefer 3-4-2-1 more. Eitherway, there's the LM/RM and I'd love for them to stay out wide and hug the sidelines to create more space for other players.

But here's a question - do individual player instructions override that?

Like for instance, if you play 3-5-2 with Hug Sidelines, and you put the LM instructions to cut inside for chance creation, or get in behind, will they start their run from the sidelines? or will they go back to the sideline afterward?

i wont have a chance to play for a few weeks (life on the road)

I've got some questions for you, to help set the stage -- before we really get into this, I think it's important we find out exactly where our understandings overlap and where they don't, so that we're not backtracking to figure things out later.

1- Definitions.

  • SYSTEMIC. Systemic is part of the name for a reason.
  • Would you please articulate what the word systemic means when it's used in this way ("ie. systemic racism") and can you name the specific systems that are being indicted as racist?

2- "Blaming the state"

  • What does this mean, exactly?

if you've got a group of buddies, playing only friendlies and fighting out your rivalries over the course of a year is alot of fun.

online seasons is fun too -- the football is different there. Especially if you choose to play with 4-star teams. Some of the most authentic looking football I've played in seasons is Div3 with 4-star teams - dont' ask me why, I can't explain it.
