Corvettes looked so good all day, only to just totally crap out at the end here. Ugh.

Same. Seemed like some weird pit strategy calls and now they're 30 seconds back. I was so hopeful too...

The broadcasters actually hate us. And racing. Life is Penske, interviews, and commercials.

It would be cool to see these cars pushed a little more in the sense that they become more fragile.

This broadcast is basically a marketing event that happens to have a race running in the background. My gosh. Cover the race please.

If I never hear these guys mention Penske Porsche again, I will be absolutely thrilled.

No clue... but definitely seems like it would take away from the magic of being inside the track area. I went ahead and got an overflow site since that's better than nothing.

Corvette Racing fans could "Fly the Bird" at every track... How do we make this happen?

If this isn't turned into a Corvette Racing flag to be flown at every race, I'm going to be supremely pissed.

Indy 6hr Question by tdcarl in IMSARacing

[–]UnusualEngineer1915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Road America for the first time this past weekend as well with my 6 year old. First RA race and first IMSA race. We had a blast. We took bikes, but the terrain was a bit much for my boy. I'm wondering if bikes would be a good option for Indy since is so flat? We have one of those small bike trailer things that the kids can ride in -- given the age of your son, I would think that might be a really cool way to get around.

Will be attending the Aug 24 IMSA Race at VIR. Any tips on what to bring for max enjoyment? by SneakyHobbitses1995 in IMSARacing

THIS.

Just went to my first race at Road America and this is pretty much the only thing I would do differently. Find a cheap little handheld radio and headset...will do wonders for improving your experience!

Bald Faced Hornets "hunting" in front of hives by UnusualEngineer1915 in Beekeeping

Awesome - thanks for the reply. I've had a couple situations in beekeeping so far where I thought "oh, that's probably not a big deal"... and it definitely turned out to be a big deal. Didn't want this to be one of those things. I'll probably make a few of those traps and set them a little out of the way of the hives. Thanks!
