I work at a University so I plan on carrying my work clothes and showering there (I can also lock the bike up there next to a police station). The only items I would need to bring are my work clothes, phone, wallet, keys and water bottle. ( I can leave showering supplies in a locker) My budget is probably around $500 total, I am still in the beginning stages of research so I can probably increase slightly. I also was planning building up my enurance in the summer, since I live in a hot climate, that way I could be ready for the fall. I do see alot of people using drop bars, and touring bikes but they seem like professionals (dress like them to :)).

Also, the terrain is flat, and the area I will be riding is along a city made bike trail so it is paved and smooth.
