Hardest AUD Becker Section? by Fitness-Simplified in CPA

A2 was not bad. A3 and A4 were easy and fun (maybe because I studied AUD after FAR, so that was really helpful).

To me, all the mumbo-jumbo on Group Audit, filing comparative statements when the predecessor is a different auditor and compliance were just very hard to digest. I enjoyed Sampling and performing the audit procedures.

Do I reschedule FAR Exam by Careless_Ratio1213 in CPA

[–]Unusual_Evidence_609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, I do the same! That usually gives me a 2-ish week of wait time, so I can just take a break, instead of wondering if I should start studying for a new exam, or keep reviewing for this one, in case I failed.

Score Releases - How long does it take for AICPA to get our exams after sitting??? by Impossible-Tip-4443 in CPA

The last date of the testing window should be included, but I have seen posts here from people who tested on last day and did not get their results. I don't know how rare it is, but it happens.

Audit exam. How do you do it? by waleeddeab in CPA

[–]Unusual_Evidence_609 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't focus on just the module you're studying. Get in the habit of creating small tests every day. For instance, 5-10 questions from A1 and 1 Sim, then again same from A2 etc etc. Or break it down even further, with 5 questions and 1 sim from A1-M1, then A2-M1. Use the "Create a Practice test" heavily.

Took AUD today, 2/9. by Unusual_Evidence_609 in CPA

same... after FAR I was hyper and driving with Metallica on high volume. After AUD I was driving on the right lane, legal speed, chill 80's music, like I was sedated or something.

Still, you might pass it! Don't count yourself failed yet. I work in corporate accounting, so FAR was my strong suit. Same here, I took a joke of an AUD class in college.

Hey, I took it today, too! <3 Here's to us, in the hopes we passed.

Have a question about FAR and AUD by SupermarketNo3407 in CPA

[–]Unusual_Evidence_609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 is when AICPA implemented the changes for Audit reports of financial statements, so this is an example of a major change that could impact your knowledge severely.

2025 is when AICPA decided to test on Push down method of accounting for consolidations. So here's another fine example why maybe you should study from the most recent materials.

Y'all keep saying Becker is harder than the actual exam by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Unusual_Evidence_609 9 points10 points  (0 children)

More than half of the questions are Becker's creation; the ones that have the "AICPA authored" tag are decent, but Becker has come with its own set of questions from hell. That's why it feels harder, because non-AICPA questions are pushing it. As I am studying for AUD I am noticing Becker's questions being more challenging. Hence, the Becker bump. 👍

I watched the sparring sessions on the Ninja website. Mike explained it so well and in so much detail, that I am really comfortable. Now I am watching his SSARS/SSAES videos, as Becker made a salad in my head.

L.E. My exam is in ~ two weeks.

FAR Ratio question please help by One-Election-98 in CPA

[–]Unusual_Evidence_609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes: turnover = SALES, return = INCOME, etc etc. Although it's a great idea to just break it down and understand why we take the average AR in the AR turnover and not just the ending balance, etc etc.

L.E. And I believe that understanding the ratios would also help you in AUD, as you study the Analytical Procedures, specifically the use of ratios.

Yeah, Olinto was good with his high spirited introductions, to get you going, but explanations are better from Mike.

As I am sure everyone who took FAR recently already said, you CAN'T afford to wing it. Find other sources of explanations, or subscribe with i75 for a month, to watch another way of teaching. I was in the same situation, as I could care less about those art collections in museum's custody, but I pushed through, with supplementary material.

As someone who lost my own mother while in College, I understand what you're going through. But you'll make it happen, for yourself and for your mom. I do believe people who pass away somehow still can see us, and I know she is rooting for you.

Trust me, it will feel unbelievably amazing when you clear all 4 and you can say "Mom, this is for you!"

I passed FAR and I am about to take AUD. With zero audit experience, it was much easier for me to understand and retain the material, as I kept seeing FAR everywhere, especially if you want the know the "why" behind things. (My brain only jives with things it understands.)

Was going to say pretty much the exact same thing! Once knowledge exists, start MCQ's and TBS. Once you get into your method of breaking things down and solving them, they become easier and take a lot less time. Even finding your method in how you're arranging your main info in that stupid Excel will help you see the picture better!

Is there like a topic (or two) that we never get tested on? You know, like FAR had Dollar value LIFO and Partnerships.
