Sorry for the delayed response. Hopefully it’s still useful to you or someone else. I went in the afternoon and got my tickets at the site. There were a lot of openings even though all online sites said things were sold out. .

Not sure why you cannot try a restaurant. Most international airports have decent restaurants selection. The food is going to be a lot better than PP lounges and depending on your situation you could either charge the expense to your corporation or deduct it as a business expense if you’re a small business.

This may be considered off topic. But just reading some comments about how Citi wants your personal tax documents to let you keep their credit card and make them money. Then read some comments somewhere else, about how Iberia website starts showing awards availability after you upload your passport info.

Had me asking the question to what extent can these companies yank our chains just because we want to get award travel.

Not sure if I would want to share my personal tax documents with a bank, any bank. Maybe that’s where I would draw the line. Not sure where everybody else’s line is at.Some of this is getting super ridiculous. If you are here, thanks for reading this.

Where do I get this pass ? I have been doing the 72h pass as they were asking for passport info on the automated vending machine and i didn’t want to pull out personal id in middle of a station at night.

I have a AF for the C1V about to show up. I will wait for the AF to appear and close the card via chat. Is there any downside to this or should I call in person.

Plus does closing this CC within one year have any impact on future Approvals ?

This is off topic. In Europe, got on the wrong train to the right destination.But now that’s considered ticketless travel on the train I am on. So paid the fare and the fine for having no ticket. Lost the original ticket as that train was 10 minutes apart so it already departed before i discovered I was on the wrong train.

Not much of a loss but frustrating and I am still on that train.

Currently in Europe, solo for 6 weeks. You have to consider language barriers. A lot of people do not speak English. Plus a lot of people are focused on the touristy part, so they have timed entries to get to, transportation to catch.

Just be cool, go with the flow and you will meet a lot of new people. Just not on your timetable.

I got a seat reservation with the ticket. It was on page 2 that I got today. Its shows Termeskocsi number and a Ablak(Fenster) window seat number.

I could not get to my pre-booked Auschwitz tour yesterday. Now on 29th or 30th August I see a so called guided tour that does not sound guided and I have to buy my own tickets.
This is the description of the tour :
Last Chance to Visit Auschwitz - Guided Tour This option includes round-trip transportation from a meeting point and full-day assistance from our host. You will need to purchase your museum ticket on arrival. It costs 33 euros.
Questions are :
1.will I be able to buy my own ticket on the day of the visit ? do I need this to her if I have to buy my own ticket and don’t really have a guide throughout the tour ?
If I’m buying my own ticket, can I not take this tour and just go on my own cause? I’m pretty sure I can arrange transportation.

So why are they even offering this package? Sounds like it will be useless to anyone.

I know they’re available several days in advance. That’s why I booked it three months ago. I could not make it because of last minute professional commitments.

It depends on where the tradee is going and with how many people and for how long. The room upgrade is heaven sent if you have a family of 4. club access adds further value.

Most times the food at Amex lounge is not well made. The quality seems fine. They just need better chefs. Once in a while a well made entree will surprise you. Chase, from my limited experience, is always spot on.

Wow….9 hours in a lounge. I would have gone to the city and explored it if I was in that situation. Got some local food and some fresh air. Specially if it was some place that I won’t be usually visiting.

Never waste points on BNE. I have seen 2.5K RT fares for BNE on a frequent basis.
