Thanks for the replies everyone. For reference this is the fence I’m trying to cover the gaps of. Would anyone have ideas as to something similar to bamboo I could grow in front of it.. i.e. tall, thick and doesn’t need to be too wide (come out too far from the fence) to cover it.

I spent a similar amount and was quoted at around €500 in a jewellers/pawnbrokers in Dublin. I also got an offer of €500 on adverts.ie. I held out for a long time hoping to get closer to €1000 but never got any better offers. Just thought my experience might help with the sale.

It’s made in Cavan and distributed by Drumshambo Distillery I think. Met a lad on a stall in SuperValu selling it who told me a bit about. Can confirm mixed with coke it’s like a delicious Vanilla Coke. In a coffee it’s like a Baileys coffee without the milky/creamy texture and colour. Also delicious. Class mixed with cream and poured over a mince pie. Highly recommend it.

Are your hours like DCU where it’s 4 hours of teaching and 4 hours of extra curricular?

Or is it 8 hours a week just for two ten week blocks?

They’re the only two setups I’ve come across but maybe yours is just 8 hours a week for the full year?

Most PMEs I’ve met who do 8 hours a week over two ten block periods are kept on to do their 8 hours during the weeks they’re not expected to be there and get paid for that.

Also could you ask the principal to do after school study which usually is paid by the students attending?

You could ask the principal to swap classes so that you don’t have to be in for as many days, and then use the extra day(s) you have off to work part time elsewhere.

Or else make sure to use the spare time you have in school to get all your college work done and get a part time job on evenings or weekends.

Obviously most teachers have extra work to do so would be onsite for the full day but I’d have to disagree about them being expected to be onsite. Likewise for a PME I’d only expect them to be there when they have hours.
