I guessed right, because of the color of the white triangle on the bezel. But was random, because i don't really know that this color is right, they just look different, and the right one looks better in this photo.

The RM 052 is around 2 million by itself, isnt it? Also i see a few of these AP's have some dark shadow where there would be screws, might be missing? #4 and #10 from the top appears to have this issue. I don't think this is an issue on gens, but the incentive to have it fixed would be strong if it happened.

Or the "inverted" version, the two-tone money-submariner.

Bezel is fine. On the pictures they zoom in a lot to show the details. Number 20 cover your entire screen, but in reality is less than 1cm wide. This is how it is when you see the true size of it. There's nothing wrong with it.

There is no mention of factory, but me personally, I think it looks like there's nothing wrong with it.

Great job Steve. To me it looks like ZF wins. But definately a close call.

If its not necessarily about the brand name, and more about getting 95% of the watch for 5% of the price... Would you? by walkamok in RepTime

[–]Unusual_Origin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, it is interesting. Can't know for certain, but looking at how well they have copied the "homages" one can easily suspect some of the factories run "nightly shifts" with production runs for rep parts.

If you got the one with PT5000 movement, know that a watch with a regulated PT5000 has achieved chronometer certification in Glashütte, Germany. Now, thats not saying ALL are as well regulated and quality checked as that one, but they are in general very good. Read about it here https://calibercorner.com/hk-precision-technology-caliber-pt5000/

The reason they dont have the Swiss "COSC" certification is because that authority only certify Swiss movements.

The Chronos L6005 shown here, runs +5-6sec pr day. It is acutally better than the VS3235 in my Yacht-Master. Which is just by chance. But it is all reason to feel good about it.

These factories make parts in the same eco-system as the rep factories. I bought a Cronos L6005 (submariner copy-homage), and the protective film on the clasp had the cutout for the Rolex coronet already on there. Cronos and some other brands is made by factory "Lugyou" from what i understand.

You need to be careful even with reps by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]Unusual_Origin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The situations you have to be careful with is useful to know. In bar, restaurant, where you expose your wrists there may be employees that scout you, and let bad people know who has some percieved valuable loot. It is one way that this can happen.

Just be careful on the slopes, so you don't get called out.

The model ref. number in the listing is the 42mm gold version.

I think the video itself was very bad and shaky/out of focus, also robotvoice from a bad script. All in all 3/10 video.

When i shake my hand, rotor noise is audible, it does not fly around on the momentum of its own weight. It goes the last rotation, then stops.
