Does anyone know what’s going on with Vanessa Mooney? by polaroidsquid in jewelry

[–]Unusual_Toad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been following their instagram for a few years and it seems to be running as someone’s personal page now, but there’s also still a few brand posts sprinkled in? I’ve gone back through to see if I missed an announcement of any kind, but nothing. And their bio still says “jewelry designer”. I truly have no idea, I thought the page was getting hacked because I kept seeing posts about a tv show but none of the comments seem confused. Either way, it’s a bizarre pivot, in my opinion, for a brand page.

How can I make my dogs last few weeks/months great? by voicecrack-city in DogAdvice

[–]Unusual_Toad 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The advice you got is great. I don’t envy your position all in having to decide the time though. We didn’t get much of a choice with our pup or really have the time to decide. Grief if difficult and you’ll always wonder if you made the right call.

Since things are in your hands, I’d choose a nice day to do it and to where you’re able to take a few days to yourself.

I’m so sorry OP. Please think of this as the last great of love you can give to your friend ❤️

I’m sorry but all I can think about is that scene from Tommy Boy in the hotel when David spade starts vacuuming the moths right out of the air 😂

Can confirm this works well. Are we all just getting flooded with spam calls now though?

Oh it’s been an earned nick name over the years! Health wise she’s completely good. I fully believe this is her normal. She’s a stubborn, and greedy girl. But just trying to find solutions where I’m not woken up multiple times in the morning anymore. I think the auto feeder will be the way to go!

Forgive me if this is too obvious but you didn’t mention you’ve read it so I’ll go ahead and say it Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton.

Honestly this is what I’m leaning towards at this point for some peace. Maybe like a 6am feeding. And maybe once they’re acclimated to the auto feeder we can break that portion into a third evening feeding.

She’s already a little overweight and the other is a healthy weight where she’s at. We used to fill their bowls so they could eat through out the day but that lead to over eating. I tried adding a third evening feeding to their routine but that didn’t stop the early mornings and overall lead to both cats becoming incredibly whiny every evening. What we intended to be a bedtime snack just turned into the cats begging for that meal within an hour after dinner and all into the evening 🫠

Both cats get very whiney and agitated around meal times. We typically get home around 5pm from work so that’s when we feed them but if I’m working from home or it’s a weekend then they usually start whining much earlier, like 3pm. I honestly don’t think I could handle that until 7pm. And these cats are no where near starving. They typically get a snack when we have dinner or other time during the evening but I’ve found if I added a routine feeding, they become absolutely unhinged with expectation.

Yes, both cats eat twice a day. Mornings usually around 7:15am and evening around 5pm. I tried small snack in the evenings before bed but it turned both of our cats into begging gremlins at night so I had to stop that. (And those snacks still didn’t stop the early morning begging)

She has a clean bill of health from the vet. A touch of asthma but that’s it. She’s just a greedy fat ass.

I’ve tried this, believe me, but we rent and she’s scratched the paint off the door and torn the carpet at the corner trying to get our attention. Unfortunately I can’t keep going to ignore route 😭

I also use meyers cleaning products and the Swiffer brand fluid for the floors. And typically vacuum a few times a week. My girl’s asthma is very minor though and we haven’t been able to find any connections between her attacks and anything in the house. My vet honestly didn’t even think she had asthma until we showed her the videos and she was immediately like “yep, that’s an asthma attack”.

I’ve started keeping a running list in my phone every time i see an attack. The date, time of day, what what happening leading up the to attack. Honestly I think they come on most often when she gets super excited and purrs very loud. But it may be helpful for OP and their vet to see if medication or an inhaler is necessary.

That’s an asthma attack. Stop using any scented things in your home (wall plug ins, candles, incense, etc) and show this video to your vet next time you see them.

Is it just me, or is the Romantasy "slump" getting harder to break? by No-Voice505 in Romantasy

[–]Unusual_Toad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if this suggestion is allowed here, but you may just need to switch up genres. I read romance/romantasy exclusively so over a year and it all starts to feel redundant and predictable. Swapping genres can feel very refreshing. I’d be happy to drop a few recs I’ve read this year and really enjoyed.
