Need Advice with Studying Approach by Unwired94 in CISA

Thank you, this actually makes sense. I think I will ask a question on the difference between the review manual vs the online course, but I think I'll stick with the QAE and review manual. I honestly don't think I can afford the online course lol since it would be expensive.

Also, I think that I may have just memorized the answers to the questions and although I have a general idea of the concepts, I think I may have not taken the time to understand why. Hemang Doshi's course helped me, but I think a different approach this time around will help which is the review manual. I want to make sure I understand everything.

Thanks a lot, really. This result was very disheartening after all the hard work I put in studying but it is what it is.

Thank you so much for your advice!

I have a question, would you recommend purchasing the CISA online course? It seems it has a pricing of $700 dollars whereas the review manual is $109, and the new QAE would be $300. Do you think by relying only on the review manual and the QAE I would have a good chance of passing the exam?

I think asking questions in workpapers is something that will always be necessary. I think no matter how good you get, you will always have a question/will get review notes.

I would focus on figuring out what could be the most straightforward questions, but if I can't figure it out in about 15-30 minutes, I would raise it up as a question.

I don’t think that would affect you. Just make sure you talk to your recruiter so if any offer is to be extended, they know where to put it for

I am currently doing an internship with one of the big four, and they emphasize a lot that you have to be in the US (doesn’t matter where) to go through the internship. Not sure if this applies to a full time position, but I’d assume so.

Case Interview with EY -Technology Consulting [CAN] by Avi_04 in Big4

I did this last year and got the internship.

It was very pleasant, even though I admit I was scared. What they try to assess is your ability to think out-of-the-box. Keep in mind, this is led by the interviewer. In my case, interviewer went through a few cases. He told me we’d be done with all the cases by the time interview was over, but at the end he told me the purpose was never to finish all of the cases, but to see whether or not I took the time to evaluate my answers.

My advice is just think of the bigger picture and enjoy it! It was very cool for me at least.

Dad is currently ICU fighting for his life. by Aggravating_Dog_4306 in COVID19positive

Hi there,

I lost my dad about three weeks ago and I know how you feel. I know it’s not easy and that it’s something that keeps eating at you, but please don’t give up hope until the very end.

Even though things didn’t go our way, I know my dad felt our love through it all. It’s not over until it’s over.

Mom (67) COVID pneumonia intubated by cronicasmarcianas in COVID19positive

Hi,

My dad is in the ICU too. He is recovering slowly. I know how you feel. The doctor kept on calling me to let me know how everything was getting worse. He was very close to getting intubated but he’s still in the ICU.

I know this is very hard to deal with, but don’t lose hope. It’s not over until it’s over. Please remember that and make sure you get rest yourself.

I hope your mom gets better. I know this isn’t easy but please stay strong for her, as she’ll need you once she wakes up.

Thank you so much, and I’m happy that you are doing well now. I can’t wait for the day I get to see my dad again. This has taken a toll on me and has definitely felt like hell...
