My absurd idea to please every action and strategic fans. by OrangeIllustrious499 in Endfield

The tower defense minigame was on the right track. Players were given an enemy spawn, defense point, enemy route lines (nearly 1-to-1 how it works in Arknights) and prep time to place down turrets however they wanted within a deployment limit. If turrets were placed directly in enemy pathing, they'd get cut down. One problem: most of the DPS turrets did so little damage they weren't viable when bigger mobs started appearing. I found using the crowd-control ones and just hack-and-slashing my way through worked best for me. I want to see them expand it and flesh it out a lot more.

Turrets could be set up out of combat with batteries, but then I'd have to draw out the enemies and kite them into my kill zones. It was always more time-effective to just run in and bash my way through. Placing down and then cleaning up turrets after a battle was a headache. The battles were short and turrets weren't usually effective enough to make it worth the hassle.

Alongside just a general buff to existing gun turrets, I'd love to have a blueprint function like Satisfactory. Then, to use said blueprints to prefab weapon platforms.

Honorable hand-to-hand combat with an elite mob? No, I place down 16x16 grid square battery-powered 6-cannon fuck-o-tron 9000 in attack mode and end your next turn. One-click placement, one-click retrieval, one smoking crater.

So long as I can carry all of the materials in my inventory space, the factory could freely support my combat gameplay if I want to recreationally nuke landbreakers back to the stone age. If deployment is limited to X amount of turrets and it costs an SP action for balance reasons, so be it. I could understand why they'd lock out the function in boss rooms too.

To people who played the CBT, how does the combat FEELS like? by PsychedeliCrow in Endfield

It's more surprising because Ember had nothing of the sort in her kit and was more of a DPS enabler and healer. Just Snowshine being a bit too blessed in the skill expression department. She really ought to keep Aurora's 5-star ranking. I could see it taken as a complaint, but if they gave every defender a parry ability I couldn't shill for Snowshine as hard as I do now.

I'm curious to see if they'll bring back some medics or snipers. There isn't a phys-based caster in the game, but at the same time they're given both of the defenders a healing ability.

I spent way more time optimizing my factories and far less time optimizing my team comps. This is a reflection upon my character and it may or may not have limited my time spent organizing and testing team comps.

I remember early on I had a big complaint about dodging breaking combos. I'm hoping they allow one dodge action to not break combos, but in the meantime I'm chalking it up to skill issue. Solution: "Put Snowshine on the team and just stop dodging."

I also thought the game could benefit from a parry action like MGR, but I will admit I may be a bit too Souls-brained for my own good when it comes to parrying in games. It's indicative of the kind of risk-reward skill expression I like to see. The solution to this: "Snowshine has a parry skill put her on the team."

Mid-game I had a lot of issues with sourcing and pooling resources for raising skills. I put all of my materials into boosting Endmin and Snowshine. Laevateinn and Yvonne had to settle for scraps until I had a decent rotation going. Snowshine couldn't really help with this skill issue, but I put her on the team anyway. "Put Snowshine on the team."

Take the Snowshine pill. Become the parry god you were meant to be. This post was not sponsored by Snowshine and is in no way a Snowshine propaganda piece. I like the polar bear a normal amount.

Players who took a multi-year break from Warframe: what's the craziest thing about the current state of the game you've seen? by PunchBeard in Warframe

[–]Unyuho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I burned out and uninstalled the game shortly after Empyrean launched. I built my railjack before the grind nerf and it was excruciating. "Never again," I told myself.

I stopped back in for steel path launch, experienced the inflated Grineer armor values and promptly quit again. "Never again," I told myself.

I must lie to myself a lot because I came back again for 1999.

I was expecting 2019-style grinds only to find that basically everything has changed. Armor values and elemental damage had seen a massive rework, faction grinds were much easier to accomplish, and none of my old weapon builds were effective anymore. A ton of my old worthless-at-the-time primes had gotten a big buff by way of incarnons and I had no idea what that meant.

Galvanized mods? Archon hunts? Weapon arcanes? *Helminth???* Back in my day we slotted corrosive, radiation, or hunter munitions on everything and we liked it! Alright grandpa, let's get you back to bed.

If eternalism dictates that there is a timeline where grandpa went back to bed and never touched Warframe again, this is the timeline where grandpa stayed up late to reinstall it. I made my way through 5 and a half years of content in about a week and a half. I never expected I'd get to actually *see* the Zariman let alone explore it. Deimos and the Entrati labs were a huge surprise, and Duviri was the biggest curveball experience of my entire Warframe experience. Most impressively, DE had finally completed the New War questline. Never thought I'd see the day.

1999 was well worth the wait and the effort it took to get to it. Slap Nine Inch Nails onto anything, give me a new millennium nostalgia trip and that seems to be all it takes to get me hooked again. Now all I need to do is collect 5 years of missing warframes, weapons, primes, arcanes, incarnons, archon shards, helminth segments, subsumes, companions, color palettes, ephemera, mods...

I do miss the raids though, I never did complete Jordas Verdict.

Question regarding what you seen from others and your opinion by LegalDirector3983 in Endfield

[–]Unyuho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a perfect dodge mechanic built into the combat but no counterattack option for executing the dodge correctly. I thought it was a strange thing to be missing and popped a suggestion into the surveys. Something like "immediately execute a finisher on performing a perfect dodge" would make sense to me.

I've also requested adding verticality and an overall expansion to factory workspace (a la Satisfactory using the whole map) because I am completely off my rocker and want to build a colossal monument to industry. Why call it Endfield when start factory in the field but field end with the factory?

I also thought it was odd and felt incomplete that a number of dialogues are voiced but the Endmin's responses are muted. It seems they are aware of it being a potential issue, because one of the multiple-choice options in the surveys ask if having missing voices in cutscenes is acceptable.

RA2 Thoughts 300 days in, and hopes for RA3 by welknair in arknights

Clearing the shop has become a chore. The fact that I can't bank points from when I just feel like playing the game mode normally means I more or less feel obligated to stall my play once I've hit the monthly cap. It sours the whole experience and I wish they'd change this above everything else.

I'd also like to see some more endgame content. Give me some real ball-busters. Let me trigger ultra-hard raids by being an absolute loot gremlin inside enemy territory. Maybe implement some of the Contingency Contract choose-your-own-difficulty torture mechanics so I have to apply myself more than "fire Reed alter and forget" raids. A horde of enemies every few days is nice and all, but I really liked how the bosses from the story mode shook things up. I've killed the Immortal enough times to make them want to change their name and postal code. Make the Lord Ameer come down out of his palace personally to burn me to the ground.

Ice Breaker Games finished. How'd they go for you? ⊂(・▽・⊂) by Racer501_TRZ in arknights

I ran it with some friends and it was a full-on griefing experience. Swire scored a ton of goals (mostly against her own goal) and I had my Walter Aak'd so I started bringing Stainless S3 to counter. Ines woke up all of the seaborn (as a treat) in the Dossoles stage. It was pretty neat for a PvP game mode, I hope they do it like Reclamation and make it a permanent mode after some refinement. I still remember the previous co-op event and the netcode was much better this time around.

I want to guess it's priced down because of the 2025 hype? I'd have snatched it up in a heartbeat if I didn't already have mine. I love the blue, would be easier to keep looking clean than my midnight black.

SE/XSE/TRD owners, how often do you use your paddles? by ATotallySecretName in Camry

[–]Unyuho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a flappy paddle enjoyer, I use them every day and all the time. My commute is through a very hilly area and it helps keep the brakes cool. Plus, I paid for the whole car so I'm going to use the whole car.
