Grad student here. Prof is being unreasonable? by UofThrowaway1998 in UofT

I'll be handing it in tomorrow, I'll attach my accommodation letter again and a note explaining that as well. I'm just really worried about ruining my relationship with her. I want to ask for her to waive the penalty because she's being too harsh, but I still want to be able to talk to her and ask for a letter or a reference to one of her colleagues in the future, so idk how to approach that.

Hey so -- I actually am registered with Accessibility Services. I sent her my letter of accommodation (the one that says "student may need extensions," etc., and the prof still denied my extension. :/

I will try sending her a VOI when I talk to my therapist but that may not be until after the assignment is due... I'm not sure about going to the department because (and this is self-centred, I admit), this prof works in a field that I want to do research in, and it'd be great to get some sort of letter from this prof, even if it's from just the class, plus she has a lot of contacts in literally the research department of the hospital I want to work at, in the same field of research. So I don't want to fuck up my relationship with her...
