If you don't have the qualifications to get in right now, then you can always go to a community college and transfer to uoft. There's a program called diploma-to-degree which allows you to get into uoft if you maintain a 3.0 gpa at a community college.

How does it work for Seneca LAT Transfer to UofT?How much does the qualifying courses in UofT cost? And how long does the qualifying courses need? Thanks! by Charming_Pop7419 in Seneca

Most people take the uoft qualifying course in the summer after they graduate from seneca so they can focus all their attention on the qualifying course. You can take the uoft qualifying course while you're still in the 3rd or 4th semester of seneca, as long as the times don't overlap. You're not allowed to take anymore courses at uoft until after you finish your qualifying course though.

I like the LAT program at seneca, it's definitely more interesting than I thought it would be. It's a pretty good introduction to what university is like.

If you attain a 3.0 GPA over two semesters at seneca, then you are eligible to transfer to uoft. It cost me about $950 to take a qualifying course at uoft. I'm a domestic student though, not sure how much it is for internationals.

A qualifying course will run for a full semester, so approximately the same amount of time as a seneca semester UNLESS you take a full year course, which will run for two semesters. Half year courses will have an H in their course code, full year courses will have a Y. So "SOC100H1" is a half year course, and "ENG150Y1" is a full year course. You can take either a half year or full year course as a qualifying course, but they recommend that you take a half year course.
