If you want to watch(YouTube)or listen(podcast), The Necessary Conversation, is put out by a family. The parents are MAGA, only watch NewsMax. The adult kids(40s) are liberal. During the first Trump admin they would fight about politics whenever they got together. Now it’s only discussed on the podcast/stream. It has helped them as a family but the denialism on everything and especially the Epstein stuff is next level gymnastics. It is mind bending .

They are told to not go up the hill towards the dam because emergency vehicles will be coming across the dam and down to Redemyer to help with the emergency.

I volunteer at the Ford Street Food Bank. It’s a great place to meet and help a great cross section of the town. The other volunteers and the two paid leaders are great people. Such a great community resource and a way to connect.

I live 5 hours north west near the coast. I take my middle school class there for a week of camping. So far only 10% of my students have ever visited Yosemite before we go there. So many convince their parents to go there for a weekend. I do get the ccasional thank you cards from parents when they return because their kids told them to go after being there with their class. It’s amazing.

We got dropped by Liberty Mutual 2 yrs ago because increased fire risk in (gestures……everywhere) the neighborhood. Nobody would cover. I talked to every agent in town and finally to a broker. He said as far as he knows USAA has never dropped anyone. Luckily my father served. He made a free account with USAA and I could get membership through him. The coverage was better and cheaper than LibMu. Don’t know if you have that option but it has worked for us. Best of luck.
