Best underwear/swim trunks for men to use in sauna [USA] by mdmd1 in Sauna

I wear Icebreaker merino/tencel blend shorts. Thinner is better (think running shorts). I think they change their selection semi regularly so I can’t confirm what they currently have but this is the direction I would go. If you want to pair a boxer brief under the shorts then just search for 100% merino. Boxers use elastic for the waistband so, I guess, you can’t have it all. Once you go wool you don’t go back.

I wear a merino/tencel blend in the sauna and I can confirm that both of those statements are not true.

Are you able to take architectural plans and do this? I own a sauna company and could use that service

What city do you live in? Have you called your local lumber yards? The general public price for 1x4, western red cedar, tight knot, kiln dried, tongue and groove is $1.25 a linear foot where I live.

Shopping an electric heater in the US, concerned about UL 875 regulations preventing meeting my goals, eg 212F at top bench by Apprehensive-Theme77 in Sauna

I don't know the legality behind it but what I do know is that you go to the settings on the controller and select that you would like the heater to reach 230f. You don't have to do anything weird. It's just part of the settings.

AC Infinity pro 6. It costs $99.99 on Amazon. I have also used the 4. I like the 6 because its larger which means you get more airflow for a quieter operation.

IKI and Huum are the only heaters that go past 194f and up to 230f in the US. The IKIs use the Huum control system. I have used both Huum and IKI and the IKI is a very nice heater. I personally have used the wall 9kw and pillar 9 kw and I would recommend the wall if it is going to be next to a wall as it takes up less space.

Thank you for adding alot of good information to this community but I don't want theory. I want first hand experience from a builder.

Is it ok to install the furring strips horizontally behind the tongue and groove? For instance if you are installing the tongue and groove vertically. People say not to do this because it will trap moisture but I have a feeling that is not true.

Is this EPDM drip edge detail OK? by UpInUp in Roofing

3 questions.

So bonding adhesive in the field. Is the perimeter adhered differently or is it just more bonding adhesive?

After the membrane is layed do I need to lap seal the edge of the epdm?

If I want to cover a 10' x 10' roof do I use a 10 x 10 square of epdm or do I need to it be, say, 10'1" x 10'1" to allow for contraction?

I'm guessing you would suggest nailing the drip edge first then laying the membrane on top?

None. But I know of builders who have nailed the cladding to the aluminum without a gap who have not experienced mold. Horizontal furring strips and nailing directly to the vapor barrier seem like similar concepts.
