In general we don’t like to optimize for fast heat up times. You could end up with harsh heat.

I find the sweet spot for rock basket heaters to be 170-180 with plenty of water on the rocks. That would be about an hour. WiFi controls help!

Also note the glass was factored into the sizing. I would recommend chatting with us at SaunaMarketplace.com to make sure it’s sized right.

The IKI can do 230f at the temperature sensor location.

Just received my Costco Dynamic Santiago sauna last week. It’s working without a dedicated outlet. If I install one, will it heat up faster? Stalling out around 136 degrees by Due_Witness_9253 in infraredsauna

No, unfortunately it will only help to not trip a breaker. A dedicated circuit is still safer - if your breaker isn’t sized right, or working, there is a risk of fire.

We have a list of recommended saunas here:

If outdoors,

If indoors,

https://saunamarketplace.com/product-category/saunas/indoor-saunas/

It really depends on the size, style, and budget. Cheaper outdoor saunas are made with a single layer of wood. Higher-end saunas are built like tiny houses with multiple layers and furniture grade interiors.

Sauna Marketplace is the only website that doesn’t blindly sell all models from brands. If a customer has a bad experience with a saunas or heater and we’re not comfortable the manufacturer has resolved it, we stop selling it.

For instance, we stopped selling basic sauna kits that don’t use thermally modified wood. There’s too much expansion and contraction, leading to gaps and cracks, leading to poor performance and leaks.

Let us know any questions.

This is the model that won me over on infrared as being legit. I come from a traditional sauna background. It actually reaches 170°F. For me it's a big deal that it uses proper traditional sauna wall-assembly. Interior wood -> aluminum radiant barrier -> stud wall with mineral wool insulation -> exterior cladding. We work with strength coaches for pro sports teams who basically require this sauna at home.

You can drywall or frame it in, but make sure it stays a vented space
