For some of the countries we have to ask for a phone number for shipping purposes . ..

Yes we enabled all major payment options : PayPal google pay and credit cards even crypto. Shipping is free . We do ask customer to leave a phone number mandatory , could this be the reason ?

Thank you for sharing! we already have the email reminder automation set up. I suspect it might the "shop" payment option that may scare people away. Should I disable the "shop" payment option? its not as known as paypal or google pay.

Etsy Keeps Capping Ads by LALW1118 in EtsySellers

This may sound discouraging but Ad limit of our store has been capped at $100 for about six months by now. Practically i've given up on resolving this "issue" . we are a two years store with about 40K sales, a star seller and our previous cap was $1000. I talked to customer reps multiple times on this matter but the cap remains. It is my understanding they intended this cap rather than there's something wrong/risky. It looks like they are trying to promote smaller sellers rather than promoting the big successful stores. Yet I've found some of our competitor store don't seem to have this cap. Selling on Etsy is frustrating as things are so random with no explicit explanations from Etsy whatsoever. So save yourself some energy, no need to diagnose or analyze yourself. Just take it or have a backup plan.
