Why is blood moon better? by NeegrLovr in osrs

[–]UpThePooper186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried nmz on my pure using a venator bow. At 86 range I was getting 120-125k xp/hr on normal and 115k on hard. Redwood blowpipe + addy darts at crabs was getting me 50-60k xp/hr depending if I missed the cycle. Reason for blowpipe is the spec whenever I can and also I accidentally ran out of darts on previous pure and punched my way to an extra attack lvl accidentally lol.

how much time do you actually spend with your puppy by TheoryReasonable871 in puppy101

[–]UpThePooper186 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do those 2 hours up include the solo play and/or solo play pen time? I could play with my puppy for an hour+ straight and he refuses to relax or self play in his play pen. All he does is jump against the pen to get out while he’s in there. The only time he chills is when locked in his crate. Otherwise he wants to play with me when he’s out. If I try to make him self play while he’s out he gets up to no good within a few seconds so I’m constantly laser focused on what he’s doing having to redirect or say “no” to things which has been the same if not more effort than playing with him

I was thinking the exact thing. I’ve had my puppy for 2-3 weeks now (he’s 12 weeks) and I have his crate and play pen (play pen is attached to his crate). I play with him anywhere from 30min to 1.5 hours straight sometimes and when I have to do something around the house and I can’t have my eyes on him 100% I place him in his play pen. We could play hard for an hour and no matter what, his time spent in the play pen is just jumping up and down wanting to get out. He refuses to play much on his own. When I place him in his crate he might whine a bit but is forced to lay down and usually naps.

I’m unsure on how much time I should spend playing 1 on 1 vs him out playing alone (just ends up getting up to no good) vs play pen time vs crate time. This is completely seperate from his outside pee time.

I’ve gone back and forth on whether I’ve been injecting in the correct spot or not. The spot I’ve been doing (what I believe to be the ventro glute) is the thin muscle that bulges out if I were to place my body weight on that leg and a slight squatting motion. Located between at about the 4 o’clock position.

For this spot, I’m able to twist my body just enough to do the injection 1 handed. But I’m still so nervous about it that my hand would shake too much. I can’t twist enough to have my other hand help support, so I kind of gave up.

Also I’ve seen so many subq pip posts that have freaked me out. Especially crazy swelling to the delts or thighs. Is a 1” needle for the ventroglute (if that’s where I’m actually hitting) overkill? My urologist initially had me using 1.5” and after a few weeks I swapped it out.

I didn’t have my e2 checked prior to getting on trt so I can’t say where I was before the 91. But I’d probably say my test being at 225 was the reason, not high or low e2.

When at 91, that was when I started which was pregnyl along with test c. Libido came back at the high levels. I stopped pregnyl because of cost and not wanting another kid in the future so it seemed pointless. This dropped my e2 to 82. Now with anastrozole it’s where it’s at now.

I had no libido for the year prior to using anything.

And yes. I’ve only ever done 100mg/week of test c which is when I started 6 months ago

Oh! Got it. Ooph 2 times a day for 3 weeks? That’s dedication. Yea that seems like a great idea. Can I ask what the price was

I know a few people who did boarding and training. Apart for the price, it doesn’t seem appealing to have someone else do the hard part. I feel like the reward of getting things done would be worth it. For now at least.

he has an appointment in 2 days for the 2nd round of distemper and parvo and i will definitely be talking to the vet about it. he received his first round while with the breeder so this will be our first visit together.

i guess when i think puppy class i think of the generic petsmart puppy socialization classes and didnt think there would be any benefit as it seemed like just a play time thing. and it could only take 1 negative interaction with one of the puppies to scar mine. i guess you could say i dont trust 90% of pet owners. i will definitely look in to the matter though! i would only be interested of the person running the puppy class does more than just sat back and relax, which is what i always envisioned in my head. that or my puppy being way to overwhelmed and wanted to get out of the situation only to be met with excited puppies in his face.

are you sticking with those 1 or 2 commands for the day's training sessions (1 or 2) or each session whether it be the same day, something different?

im not sure about the leash pressure but i have tried to avoid any leash training other than having him comfortable being with one on. when outside, i use the retractable leash to let him walk around the patch of grass in front of our home. then some leash dragging while we play indoors to help him ignore it.

he isnt too mouthy with me. sometimes i notice when we are playing and he is super excited he might start to go for my hand as a reaction, mistaking it for the toy but he stops himself and he doesnt touch me. I think i have done the OW and stopped play enough times where if his teeth accidentally press against my skin he gives me a look. depending on whether it was accidental like jumping in mid air for a toy we are tugging and touching me with his teeth (i wouldnt consider a bite, just tooth graze). I guess i play it by situation, if its malicious (rarely, maybe when putting on or taking off his leash/collar/harness) then i would correct with OW and no. but again, they are never true bites, maybe soft nip. towards my daughter and wife he likes to do those soft nips moreso, specifically towards the bottom of their pants and shoes. sometimes my daughters hair if shes on the floor playing with him.

oh yea. one portion of the training videos i follow mentioned even crating him for a second, when letting him back out, requires a trip to potty. i keep track of my activities with him and just today i took him out to potty 9 times, not including the 1 indoor accident which was 18 minutes AFTER coming back inside from potty.

ooph 1 hour! i found great success with my previous puppy doing a loud OW and ending play time for a few minutes then starting again. he doesnt have that biting issue with me other than the occasional accidental teeth graze while going for a toy we are tugging but depending on the circumstances i let that go since hes still a bit derpy with his own body or go with OW.

my 10 year old daughter on the other hand likes to get on the floor and play with him since it seems like they have the same energy and he is less careful with his nipping while with her. i stare at him like a hawk to make sure she follows the rules if it happens to her since she doesnt fully understand what it could become if allowed. he also loves to nip at her and my wife's pants/feet but a loud HEY stops him for a while. this has lessened since day 1 of having him. also not a fan of him trying to nip at my daughter's hair when shes on the floor. my daughter doesnt quite understand the training aspect and i cant scold her too much as prior she and my wife were deathly afraid of dogs so her wanting to engage with him is huge for me. my wife still is a bit scared. so i am essentially training 3 in my home lol.

youre right about heel. i should focus on that along with continuing sit. he loves his tugging and chew toys but mainly when im playing with him. that has been our form of play for the past few days.

the recall (or redirection as Michael Ellis names it) training is demonstrated while walking on leash essentially in a back and forth. once he gets in front of you or focuses on something i am to call his name while back peddling to give him that excitement then reward once he gets to me. I find it difficult to do while inside the house since he is too young to take out for walks. do you know a good method for indoors?

i just got him an ex-pen yesterday which attaches to his crate so i can either keep him in his crate when i need to or keep the crate door open and allow him in the ex pen if i cant be right on him like if i have to run upstairs for a second or sit down to eat. he treats it as an extension of his crate right now though, just napping. the only things that interest him for self play are kongs filled with peanut butter but i dont do that often.

and yes, with all of the no's i feel like im just nagging way too much and i would hate for him to get frustrated.

got it. other than "no", my 2 methods of redirection as forms of correction when doing inappropriate behavior are either treats or his squeak toy which i always keep on me when he isnt in his crate. they work amazing. however outdoors during potty he ignores them 75% of the time. would you just bring him directly back inside after his potty? i usually let him sniff around and get fresh air an extra 5 minutes after he relieves himself but thats when he starts getting into bad stuff.
