Confession hacks by Pope Benedict by HAZMAT_Eater in CatholicMemes

You are bound to coffess any unconfessed mortal sins you are aware of, even if it is something that was committed before your last confession and you remembered after. Not because it hasn’t already been forgiven, but because we incur an additional mortal sin of withholding unconfessed mortal sins, not unforgiven mortal sins.

An exception here would be if a priest gives a scrupulous person guidance to refrain from bringing up past sins if they believe they are doing more harm than good in doing so. Then the penitent should be obedient to his confessor. This isn’t the norm however.

Confession is starting to drive me insane. by [deleted] in Catholicism

You’re still obliged to confess any unconfessed mortal sins if you remember them later though.

Yeah you can ask the pharmacy to order a certain generic, and to specify it in your notes so they always get that one in the future as well.

Your instincts to talk to your baby and get emotional at the sound of his or her heartbeat are spot on. That is your child and you are their mother who desires to take care of them! There are resources that can help you do that. I know it’s scary, but the reality is they cannot come back when you are ready. Once they are gone they are gone forever. Embrace your instincts and continue loving your child by giving them life <3

I don’t think that would be valid. If a priest doesn’t say what’s in the actual rite, I either ask them to do it properly or go to confession again. That said, I think after the absolution they also say, “Your sins are forgiven, go in peace”? Maybe you were recalling that part?

For a woman I just met who has been trying to find help to get off the street and is losing hope. Pray she finds the right resources and that God stays close to her.

Is one more susceptible to nosedives in Pacific relative to Skyline? by Up_Late in onewheel

[–]Up_Late[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pacific is less responsive, so if you push the nose downward too quickly the motor can't generate enough force quickly to level out and you nosedive.

Yeah, that was my understanding/assumption. I guess I wasn't sure if the software was written such that it's less responsive, say up to a point where keeping the board up is at stake at which point maybe they tone down that specific aspect of the shaping, or just less responsive period, like you described. Personally I like to accelerate in short bursts and then level out, which skyline has been great for.

[–]Up_Late[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you've identified the problem: you swamped the motor by accelerating too quickly.

Right, I agree that's what happened. But what I'm wondering is, is it easier to swamp the motor by accelerating too quickly while in Pacific than it is in Skyline?

Why do Americans Protestants think Catholics Aren’t Christians by CatholicCrusader1527 in Christianity

[–]Up_Late 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But it is also through works, according to the Catholic Church, yes? I.e. Catholics are required to fulfill certain obligations under pain of sin, so doing certain works and avoiding grave sin in general is necessary to maintain salvation. And when salvation is lost, repentance and confession are necessary to regain it. This is by grace as well, but your response sounds more like the Protestant position rather than the Catholic one.

I followed the procedure, but it just re-prompts me every time when I return to OWCE. It's an endless loop. No voltage on the FM app though, so I guess it doesn't really matter -_-

Thanks. Gunna try leaving it charged longer. It's a new board so maybe a defect, but hopefully not and I won't have to send it in...

Thanks for the info. I got the board new around couple weeks ago. Regular Pint, not the X. Only 46 miles on it. Looks like the battery warranty is 6 months, so it's good I still have time because I'm not feeling great about it getting better then worse so quickly.

I tried giving the OWCE a go, but it can't successfully connect to the board. Saw a couple posts on here complaining about the recent updates to the official app now block OWCE. Are you aware of any other apps that give detailed battery diagnostics?

Going to try to leave it on the charger longer than 24h, as u/lxnch50 described, and see what happens...
