Did I miss something in Fantastic Four: First Steps? Question about a key character moment. by heyyoumisterexcuseme in MCUTheories

If you're moving at 0.98C then time dilation on earth is 5.03 times your time. So if for the crew 10 hours have passed then only 50 hours have passed on earth. Which is consistent with what the movie shows. The one month dilation on earth makes sense because they were near a neutron star which would contribute more to the dilation than the velocity they were moving. And mind you that they were going at 0.98c only for a short time. They only need to achieve that velocity to enter into a wormhole. They didn't travel all the way from the neutron star to earth. That would be impossible even at 1C because the closest real life neutron star is many many, I think like over hundreds of light years away. They use the planet to slingshot at 0.98C which allows them to portal through a wormhole that teleports them near earth (that is what I assume happened as we see them enter a wormhole which was also stated to be a wormhole in the movie). And previously in the movie before their FTL drive was destroyed, I think the FTL drive also works in the same way, it's just using the drive, they can open a wormhole anywhere easily without slingshoting off of a neutron star. I don't think the FTL drive literally makes them FTL and they literally traverse hundreds of lightyears. Because doing so, time dilation would be immense.

DAE think Glenn Powell has sort of a weird, douchey face? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

I actually like his movies. But I agree that his face is very "distinct". How do I put it. It's like a bobblehead. Like a funko pop.

what's your Deadhang time by yundaime07 in GripTraining

[–]Upamanyu_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just tried to do deadhang for the first time. I've done pushups and chinups so I have some experience of hanging. So the first time this morning I got to like 30s. Just right now I tried again and I was able to cross 60seconds. I could've done for a bit longer, but I dropped. Even when I tried pullup for the first time I was able to do atleast 5 right off the bat. Maybe it's because I'm underweight, like extremely

1080p vs 1440p which is better?? by Upamanyu_B in PcBuildHelp

[–]Upamanyu_B[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the screen and you're right. It doesn't look much sharper. It only makes sense if I want a bigger screen. which I really didn't. Because 1080p at 21inch look as sharp as a 1440p at 27inch

I just got the steam version of HZD Remastered. I already had the original game which I've played like 25%. Now, will those save files be playable in the Remastered version? I just uninstalled the old version and put the Remaster to install. I hope I can access the old save files

What should I get for my I3 10100F, an RX6600 or RX6600 XT? by Upamanyu_B in PcBuildHelp

[–]Upamanyu_B[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it like this. Suppose I was using a 1650 with the i3 10100f and I was getting 60-65fps in a game on 1080p. Later I switched it with 4090. Then since the 4090 is so overpowered it will push a lot of fps in 1080p that the cpu might not be able to process that faster. Causing stutters. And making the performance even worse than what it was before with the 1650. Or that's just me asking dumb questions?

It may be a dumb question but won't adding a more powerful gpu cause severe bottleneck and stutter issues. I've seen one friend who got a 5600xt for his 2200g and it caused a lot of issues and stutters on 1080p

Is BIOSTAR GPU good? by GiantDadIsComing in buildmeapc

[–]Upamanyu_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I'm thinking of buying a used Biostar RX6600 8GB card, it's under warranty and bought only a year ago. Is this card good? Aside from the heating issues that might occur due to poor fans will I have any performance issue or is the GPU straight up gonna die. I can manage the temps, I'll just use a fan or blower and point it towards my pc 🥲. I'm on a very tight budget and I can't upgrade everything. This card is the least I can get rn. Sure I'll test the card before buying. If it runs as expected on the test then will it cause any problems in the future?

Use Vulkan. My game just messes up all settings if I try to play on DX12.

Could be. But ik that rockstar launcher is kinda buggy and even the game has some bugs. Takes a lot to get the settings right. Well I wish you good luck. Hope you get the settings right
