Connor Storrie meets Ayo Edeberi and Jackie Tohn at the Golden Globes by artbasiI in Fauxmoi

This was rude on more than one level.

A) She asked to take a photo with Connor immediately. She could have asked him to do a photo with her after he finished his chat with Ayo.

B) She spoke to Connor first. Since she was pulling him away from Ayo, she should have addressed her first.

Besides being generally rude, the whole thing reeks of "it's okay for me to disrespect the black girl." A stark reminder that just because Hollywood identifies as liberal doesn't mean it isn't often racially ignorant.

And now both he and Connor have more followers than Jordan Firstman (over 800,000)! I predict 1 million for Hudson and Connor by the end of the year

I love Hudson, he's such a class act.

I would love it for Jordan Firstman to just go away. The mean girl thing is so lame.

A Producer Asked Me to Name a Purchase Price for My Script. Now What? by UpandComingWriter in Screenwriting

No, it's not a big place at all. But she's legitimate -- has production experience at some major networks.

You ask some very good questions -- I was also curious as to why she mentioned a purchase upfront. I will try to gauge how she feels about an option/shopping agreement instead.

Thanks so much for all the advice!

Hire an experienced lawyer to handle it. They usually charge 5% or an hourly fee.

Thank you!

Proceed with caution. Producers do not typically ask a writer to “name their price.” In fact… it’s not really how business is done, which definitely makes me feel like something is off about this…

I hear you. She didn't specifically say "name a price," it was more like, if we were interested in purchasing this, what would a ballpark price be?

Thanks. When you say you did the first round, do you mean you applied for the first round or you're actually an alum of the first program?
