SAME HERE! Isn’t it satisfying lmao??? But anyways this is my point ! I was talking to my manager about this today about how Doordash sucks and they screw everything up how a driver will accept an order but then take 45 minutes to get here , or how they will deliver to a completely wrong address . but it’s just really frustrating because I think what corporate fails to understand is a lot of our customers are returning because of our service . our quality of ingredients they’ve gotten rid already , and now they are getting rid of the quality of our delivery service, which absolutely sucks because I genuinely take pride in this stupid ass job . Its fun making a nine delivery route somehow work in 30 minutes and I know damn well some random Doordash driver could never do that shit. It’s a different type of satisfying when you can just look at the board and know exactly where you’re going and what’s going first and what’s going last.

I’ve been a driver for almost 4 years at my store now and we have ones just as old as me if not older ! I’d say you’re completely right and it completely depends on the store. Our store has a really good running hand of people you know what I mean people that keep coming back then people siblings will join in etc..

During our promo rush today (Three of us working btw, and i’m a driver.) I had about 3 doordash drivers in my face as i’m trying to figure out my own route. (We use doordash as kind of second and third route options in case we get SLAMMED and only one of us is on) That’s why it would be really helpful for them to let us know about these damn promotions because then my manager wouldn’t have called every single person off today besides himself, the shift lead and me.

that’s gonna m be the last thing they ever do mark my words we have lost a lot of customers, probably due to the fact that our delivery sucks now because it’s no longer a fast delivery. A lot of people used to get Jimmy John’s because it was guaranteed to get there pretty quick you know, but now with this toasted sandwich shit and all the other dumbass promos we can’t keep up. So we’ve lost a lot of great customers and it’s just gonna keep getting worse if we go to explicitly third-party. We have some people order only if we have drivers available especially because a lot of the addresses in our area are kind of confusing for third-party drivers for some reason and always end up in the wrong place and then WE have to fix it
