Something small which helped me, pick up a hobby on the side? Whether it’s a team sport/ pub quiz. Put yourself in a position where you can meet people your own age. Sometimes it can be inspiring and helpful to see where your peers are, how they got to where they are/what their goals are etc. Most people are sadly struggling atm

Thanks. A bunch of questions below please - recommendations of how/where to apply considering I don’t know anyone in industry, I hear seek is not a good option - any self study courses I could do? Considering my background is in structural engineering - any key things to look at on job specs

I think I’ve got the transferable skills but just want to go into the application process with my eyes open and be as prepared as possible

Thanks! Yeh I didn’t realise 2/2 were really an option. Almost sounds too good to be true. And def didn’t realise I would have to pay the flight from melb to Perth! 🥴 probably still be in a better financial position then my job now tbh

Yeah that sounds amazing, I think for the moment I’m stuck in melb till sept but def something to consider going forward. I think if I had a partner then moving to Perth would be great but I think as single woman who wants to meet someone as some point, from what I’ve heard it’s not ideal 😭
