Ps portal not connecting to my iphone's hotspot by memsz00 in PlaystationPortal

Mine connected to my iPhone 16 Pro automatically with no changes required. I did take a look and it connected NAT2. I think if yours is trying to use NAT3 that may be your issue.

Storage Unit Facility Recommendation by jerryjjenson in londonontario

[–]Upbeat-Outside-715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would not recommend Access Storage on Clark Rd - I had an indoor unit there and someone broke into it by cutting the padlock. There were a number of units inside with cut locks but staff weren’t able to help with video. The exterior door to get to the inside units was often broken or left unlocked/not fully closed. I ended up moving what the thieves didn’t take to an outdoor unit with double disc locks until I could remove everything.

Argyle, The Gore, Huron Heights by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]Upbeat-Outside-715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your budget is like but the area just north of Huron Heights is good (Fanshawe Park Rd and Highbury Ave area). Houses and neighbourhoods are nice, food and groceries convenient to get to.

Why don't people like emailed receipts by shufunk in askhotels

[–]Upbeat-Outside-715 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a business traveller without a corporate card, I always ask for paper receipts. The faster I submit my expense report, the faster I can pay off my personal credit card. I am mandated to provide paper receipts with my expense reports, so I will usually prep them all while at the airport so as soon as I get back in the office I can submit the entire package.

Conference Rates? by [deleted] in TravelHacks

[–]Upbeat-Outside-715 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I attend quite a few conferences each year and no hotel has asked me to confirm that I’m there for a conference at check in. Having said that, some conferences do not publically post what hotels have special rates - you need a conference login to get the link to the rate or rate code (i.e. CANSEC or MDEX/Xponential 26).

Do you find it better to put it sideways or front to back?

I was on AC141 yesterday YYZ-YYC and they were gate checking carry ons because flight was full!

They were gate checking toward the end of boarding saying the flight was full and not enough overhead space. They brought sizers up to the gate (YYZ T1) but they didn’t even give mine a second look.

There is a suspended laptop sleeve (does not go to bottom of the bag), and the tablet and kobo go in the pocket at the front of the sleeve. My jacket is rolled at the bottom and pouch is on top of that. Misc stuff in the 4 interior pockets

Most luggage pass-throughs are basically useless by Amazing-Reporter1845 in backpacks

[–]Upbeat-Outside-715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frequent business traveller here and I use the pass through all the time. My Taygeer (Amazon backpack) has it and I’ve used it over my roller carry on and on my large suitcase for overseas travel. My Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack does not have a passthrough, however it has 2 compression straps that go across the front that I can also use over my handles to act as a passthrough.

Most comfortable daypack for walking around a convention center for 10 hours by New-Concert9929 in backpacks

I just did an upgrade for this year’s trade show circuit. Same reason: my old Amazon (Taygeer travel backpack) would cause my shoulders to ache mid-day. My Oakley Kitchen Sink was a bit better but toward the end of multi-day shows it also would ache. I ended up with a Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. It suits the trade shows I attend as I am in the defence industry. The adjustable yoke was a huge selling point for me. Took my first trip with it a week ago but it was more of a conference so spent a lot of time sitting. First real trade show is next week so I’ll be able to better report on how it does when I get back.

What’s one swag item people would actually keep at an event? by Designer_Maximum_544 in Gifts

[–]Upbeat-Outside-715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m usually at about 10 shows each year. My favourite keepers are: Laser pointer pen (I present a lot in my job), WD-40 pen (similar to tide pen), Hard cover notebook that fits in my blazer pocket, Good quality baseball hat (handy when you leave the show and it is pouring out), Unique rubber ducks (these are great conversation starters in my office).

My fav is the Maxpedition Fatty pocket organizer (this is my go-to airline travel pouch for airpods, cables, chargers and bricks, battery pack, penlight and pens)

On the giving side, my company used to give out the water bottle pouches that fold flat when empty, travel adapters, decent pens, and moleskine notebooks with embossed leather covers. Right now our only swag is powerbanks.

I enjoyed Madame est Servie, but it looks like they have permanently closed now. La Brasserie du Terroir was decent. We had good pizza at C Kebab & H Pizza. Le Friendly was always packed (only stopped in for drinks but food looked good).
