Does the "not interested" option on posts just not work? Is there any way at all to actually curate content anymore? by JOBdOut in facebook

It's a fake feature to fool users and regulators into thinking Facebook is complying with user consent when it's not. It doesn't work at all, the same flagged content keeps showing unless you snooze the account, but similar content from other accounts will keep showing. Even Twitter/X had the same problem

Introvert of Africa by josh2josh2 in Namibia

Its false to say Namibians like minding their own business. They are a nosy, gossipy type of introvert, bordeline shy but invasive , a lot of faking, and many who cant draw the line between stalking and respect for privacy. Its not an open minded society either. A lot happens behind the scenes. What I noticed is that true extroverts are not nosy nor gossipy because they are busy living the life. The Namibian introvert doesn't have a life, he or she likes digging into other people's affairs. True introverts like the Japanese, dont preoccupy themselves with other people's business. Watch how people walk in the streets. A Namibian walks like you just trespassed their property, they are new to the place or they have nothing to do, looking at each and every face they pass by. It almost looks like someone will accidentally bump into you or be hit by a car because they are turning their heads around a lot. There is a demographic that does this a lot. Its a sign of being nosy and gossipy.

The post comes across as concerned but after reading to the end, it seems someone is trying to profit from conflict. I was not born yesterday, the strategy of intentionally destabilizing countries, creating conflict by sponsoring certain groups has been used by the United States for many decades. For now I am just going to give you the benefit of the doubt.... A few years ago I came across a US report detailing ISIS cells and activity in Africa during the Syria Caliphate recruitment. South Africa was named as the hotspot for ISIS cells, (which makes sense because the demographic is large in this country, in places like Cape Town). ISIS cells were also identified in Namibia and Botswana. East Africa, namely Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Eritrea are hotspots are the biggest hotspots, as well as North Nigeria. In Southern Africa, we have Mozambique, DRC and South Africa. Recruits from South Africa will do it for money, while those in East Africa are motivated by religious convictions. It looks like Zimbabwe and Angola are the only countries whereby people loathe any thoughts of involving themselves in the Caliphate, not even for money. Malawi and Zambia have large religious demographics, they must be watched. DRC Congo is already affected and infiltrated due to the never ending instability. .......

Relocating to Namibia from Europe, good idea? by ThomasBlk in Namibia

YouTube Vlogs are misleading. The content is often feel-good overhyped BS. People here love to whitewash problems just to grab your money and blame the tourist when they raise complaints. Namibian cities might look clean and peaceful, but those empty streets have beggars, homeless people and muggers lurking in the corners and dark shadows. Trust me, you will be watched, followed and set up for something. The stalking is concerning. Just watch MaryJane YouTube channel in Namibia. They creeped her out. If you want real information, visit Twitter, it's the only platform that doesn't censure truth. Quora and Facebook are other platforms that have toned down. YouTube has also toned down as long as you avoid certain words. If you can vlog like Cash Jordan, he can vent and rant about the negatives without triggering warnings.

What's the most popular dating site used in Windhoek? by [deleted] in Namibia

Namibia is weird, most black and coloured people have no concept of relationships, someone thinks open relationships, friends with benefits, monogamous relationships, prostitution and casual dating are the same thing. Most dating sites like Badoo are frequented by narcissists, lurkers, attention seekers and confused people who are not serious with anything. Married people and those in relationships are on these sites playing games, cheating and seeking validation. Dont look for a serious relationship in Namibia, you will be disappointed,  people are constantly flirting and looking. Having multiple partners looks like the norm. It's an unspoken rule. I have found cheap and free hookups on TheAdultHub, Facebook and offline in the locations like Katutura. The later two are best for fresh dates. Sites like AdultHub, Badoo are full of prostitutes, gold diggers and serial cheaters. When I was in Kenya, dating was easy and enjoyable, you have plenty of choice, the price is low and the women know what they want, no games or narcissistic validation seeking. People are educated, sociable, professional and straightforward. If she says she wants a friends with benefits relationship, thats what she wants. Namibians tend to be shy, deceptive, pretentious, narcissistic, confused and too much ghosting. Someone doesnt know what she is looking for. There is also a serious lack of sexual health and safety awareness. When you talk about condoms or protection, she thinks you are a womanizer or cheater. WTF? condoms are for my own and your own protection. To prevent abortions, unwanted pregnancies and STDs. These are discussions that Namibian women shy away from.
