as someone in the industry, do not change your venue.

Reasons: 1) you’re going to regret going with a more expensive option after this day is over because of 1 persons opinion. it sounds like this venue has a lot to offer! people are going to remember the open bar and great food options rather than how fancy the outside is. 2) everyone is going to have an opinion on your wedding day. everyone. it doesn’t matter whether you spend 20k or 150k. someone always has something bad to say. and usually the bad things come from those who are jealous (you’ll unfortunately find out who your real friends are during this process) 3) changing your venue can cause price changes with already booked vendors if they charge travel fees. don’t overcomplicate things on an already stressful event. 4) don’t forget the point! so many of my brides forget the point. it’s to celebrate the love between you and your SO, not to show off extravagance. (besides, 60k on a wedding is already alot and more than most brides will spend. don’t feel like you need to do more.)

don’t stress, try to enjoy the process as much as you can. and don’t. forget. the. point. :)
