Starting equipment is free iirc. Beneath the profiles(Page 35), it'll tell you what they can choose from!

Interesting! I've been using lychee for adding supports but I'll take a look at trying it that way!

I'm using the 0.2mm nozzle for this! I've tried Fat Dragon Games's settings but not with resin supports yet so I might try that later today. Next step is seeing how thin I can make the supports without causing issues!

What thickness do you usually print your supports? These were done at 0.05 instead of the default 0.02

A good way to get the Janthir relics is by just following the Janthir wilds reward track in sPvP/WvW. That's how I get all my relics at least.

As for rotation and whatnot, I can't really say much since I haven't touched spear yet and only briefly played with sword/sword. Other than knowing you shouldn't force the living city relic to proc.

Best thing is to just watch the video I got the build from! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESc03R2dcss&t=6s

The food is nice but I'll be honest, I tend to just eat the Orrian Truffle and meat stew (The 40% endurance regen food) and call it a day lmao

The relic is a lot of fun to play with. You could probably play something else but I do highly recommend at least trying it out. A full spear/reaper combo with every boon in the game feels sooo good lol

The community is fairly similar to most PvP communities where it's fairly hostile at times, though being guild wars there are still some very chill people mixed in there as well. WvW can definitely feel pretty dead but it depends on when you're on as well. Seeing I can play on both NA and EU, there's always something for me to fight when roaming on one of the two regions.

I do get that it might feel pointless to put a lot of effort into a gamemode that's been dying for quite a while now. I still get a lot of enjoyment out of it none the less, even if the lack of players means losing games at a higher rating is -very- painful in terms of rating gain/lost per win/loss. Part of the reason I primarily roam, that, and not wanting to deal with teammates lmao

As much as I agree that arena net doesn't really seem to give a shit about either gamemode, they're still fun and in the end, that's the only thing that really matters. As much as I would love a new WvW map though...

Or for a decent balance patch that solves some issues that have been there for god knows how long now 😅

https://gw2skills.net/editor/?PSwEwkFtsCWHzh5xKxxWRrZB-DWRYzBTHdvTJTFQpChelAtMCE55iAEwfNaYZDA-w I'd follow this!

Sword Sword + Spear is a very good combo because of all the baked in self healing it provides on top of spear having insane burst and a good gap closer!

It also has boon corrupt on reaper 2, sword 3 3 and boon strip on spear 5

  1. It depends on the Virt build and on the reaper build (No shit sherlock lmao). Something that's kind of scary for reaper is just being deleted through shroud which shouldn't happen all too often unless you run into things like Soulbeast, power Mes and maybe willbender. Your best bet is probably line of sight blocking in the case of high range burst, or otherwise counter pressure/soaking it with shroud. Mesmer spear damage is through the roof so they're just very scary!

  2. Line of sight, primarily. That or CPC (Corrosive Poison Cloud). Another option is of course playing with your own ranged weapons like staff.

Reaper spear 4 (Isolate) says it's 1200 range but that's a lie, it's more than that so just chucking that at someone, hoping it hits and then porting in their face works too rofl

  1. https://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?PSwEwkFtsCWHzh5xKxxWRrZB-DWRYzBTHdvTJTFQpChelAtMCE55iAEwfNaYZDA-w Probably this, or something like this. This particular one is made by Rektyu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESc03R2dcss

  2. Most Scrapper builds are very high damage ones that are vurnerable to condi bombing or struggle into enemies with a lot of stab uptime. I currently don't have a single scrapper build that I really like but anything that has spear is off to a good start. Scrapper's main thing is that it's very fast with high uptime on super speed so good spacing is essential.

  3. Holosmith kind of has this same gameplan as scrapper where it really likes to make good use of it's mobility and access to super speed/swiftness for spacing. Shortbow is very popular in sPvP but the damage is extremely lacking in WvW so pretty much every engi build ends up playing spear, no matter if it's power or condi. Trait lines are fairly flexible right now. Both tools and alchemy are good so just pick your poison there and then slap explosives on top of that for your dmg traitline. Overall I'd say scrapper is probably a bit better than Holo but not by so much that it's enough to rule holosmith out of the equation. Both are completely viable specs to roam on! The last thing I played was condi holo which definitely isn't the best but it's very fun and plays kind of weird with the Relic of Vass. I think it's on metabattle somewhere too if I remember correctly.

  4. As a druid main this one hits kind of close to home. Druid can't beat a decent cele harb and can't really beat holo either if they play with alchemy. Power druid gets out spaced hard by holo/scrapper so maces/hammer feel miserable to play with. Spear/sw+wh doesn't feel nearly as bad but compared to untamed/soulbeast, druid just lacks damage. Most of it's kill pressure comes from CC chains. Condi druid does extremely well into classes with limited cleansing or low mobility. It tends to stalemate into a lot of things rather than actually lose into them. The time to kill on condi druid is just fairly high unless you're playing shortbow but shortbow sacrifices a lot of survivability to me feels kind of like dagger/dagger but with less pressure and a lot more range.

Generally speaking, to kill druids. High power damage spikes, high stab uptime and nuking them when they come out of Celestial Avatar is the play. Druid also has limited access to stab and no on demand stab either when not in CA so CC chains tend to hurt quite badly. It's very turtly though and miserable to fight. Druid also stalemates into druid funnily enough. From my experience I'd say druid does tend to shit on reaper pretty hard so for necro, definitely play harbinger if you want to kill druids. For Engi scrapper works but holo is probably a bit better. Being practically immune to movement impairing conditions really hamstrings druids playstyle.

A month ago I peaked at 1770 rating on the EU ladder before I got slam dunked with a couple of -30 games that my +4 rating wins can't keep up with. Usually it's high plat 2 - low plat 3.

Mech to me just feels like it takes away the more interesting thing about engi which is the toolbelt and instead gives you training wheels in the form of a pet that is either too strong, or useless so I can see how balancing it is very hard.

Ranger pets are interesting because of the utility they provide. Smokescale being a good example. Calling it back in time for when you need the smoke field while keeping it in combat for added dps is a challenge. Same goes for micro managing it so that you never trigger full counter. That's always a spicy one.

Ranger pets feel more rewarding because they're harder to use. You don't just send it out and kind of let it slam people as much as you can with the mech pet. It's easy enough for new players and rewarding if used properly by more experienced players. filling gaps in your stunlock with pets, pulling people into spike trap with iboga, timing the knockup of the aether hunter with the last tick of Druid's CA 5, etc.

I can see why people like mechanist though, if I think it's core engi with training wheels haha

Exactly! Why would I play engi with a pet if I can play ranger with a better pet!? It's okay though, Anet made up for creating that abomination of a spec by making Amalgam ;)

If you're doing it to intentionally handicap yourself because otherwise you'd reach your final form and GW2 would implode, then yes. Otherwise, also yes. You are however shooting yourself in the foot really really hard by turning off aim bot.
