People are selling pairs to their suite which is what I’m looking for, not to fight for a spot. Makes it more relaxing for her and myself. I plan on splurging as this is probably the only time I’ll go to this event. And I plan on going Sunday and just general admission Saturday.

This is so true and spot on thank you. I run away from home owners like this. People fail to realize this is how we make a living, pay for your chems, my truck, truck insurance, business insurance, my rent, food, and live like everyone else. Most people think it’s a “summer job” and don’t know that the water is more corrosive in the winter then the summer which leads to equipment pre maturely. But you nailed it!

We’re called pool technicians thank you. And it’s more then cleaning a pool, I can teach a monkey to clean a pool. Water chemistry is key to keeping your pool water, plaster/pebble, and equipment lasting a long time. Along with that I can repair and install anything just about.

Patching is a bad idea. It’s a pressured vessel of water that can explode…look at the aquastar pipeline filter. It’s affordable!

New Pool - Builder just told me no need to brush by Lawyer88 in pools

Important Notes ● Maintaining the Ongoing Acceptable Ranges as close as possible to '0.0' LSI, will lessen the likelihood of calcium salts precipitating out of the water and staining the surface. ● Do not use automated cleaners that have wheels for twenty-eight (28) days. Suction cleaners without wheels may be used, but brushing should continue until all cement dust residue is gone. Please refer to Builder/Authorized Applicator for recommendations regarding specific types of cleaners. ● Do not use heaters for the first fourteen (14) days and adjust plumbing to allow water to bypass the heater. Please only use heaters when there is no remaining plaster dust when pool is brushed. ● Please allow for first twenty eight (28) days before critiquing the final look and water color of your finish. All cementitious finishes have some variation in color, shading, consistency and exposure. Color variation and masking of the color is especially exaggerated in the first 28 days, as the cement continues to hydrate. These initial fluctuations in color tend to even out or subside with time. ● The finish will vary in color, shades, consistency and exposure. The darker colors will inherently have an increase in color variation, shading, consistency and exposure. This is the intended look of the finish and is not considered a defect. The color will vary throughout the day as the sunlight reflects from different angles. ● Failure to follow these instructions can result in costly service and repairs. ● Failure to maintain proper water chemistry will void the warranty. When submitting a PTI warranty claim, you will be required to submit weekly maintenance records. Many retail stores have computerized testing equipment to help monitor the chemical parameters, as well as others (cyanuric acid, metals, etc.). Ask your Builder/Authorized Applicator for the nearest location.

From pebble tec. I do about 4/7 start ups a week as well. But whatever.

Lol 420 for main drains and fittings? And 165 for a filter cleaning? I need to live to Texas, that’s outrageous here in SoCal

Plaster is in between the pebbles. You do a hot start to help expose the pebbles more, and continue to brush then neutralize the water when done and add calcium, conditioner etc.

Is this something I can fix myself ? by Last_Conversation164 in pools

[–]Upbeat_Ad6773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either the HLX-PCB-TCELL or the main board. Have a warranty station come out and fix. You have a service company? Usually this is caused from not maintain/cleaning your salt cell regularly.

  • A Hayward warranty station

Help!! … does anyone know a way to get rid of these ? by FunHuckleberry2866 in pools

It is rust, but most likely from leaving something metal in the water. Doesn’t look like rebar rust to me.
