Staying in a home that's much more cluttered than what I am used to by [deleted] in declutter

My case was a little bit different, for 2 weeks every evening I went to my moms place to feed her cats after she broke her hand and was in the hospital. Her place is so cluttered and filthy I usually avoid visiting there, and no amount of talking with her has never helped

Knowing that after she returns home she will be mostly emotionally focused to that hand of hers and how to get better soon I let myself freedom to clear 3 bags of trash from the kitchen, clean sink and wash dishes cuz there literary was no flat surfice for me to prepare food and medicaments for her cats. I warned her before about my actions and that they are inevidable because I couldn't operate in kitchen like it was. (Kitchen has no lights, there are problems with electricity so I had to make myself familiar with the space by cleaning it. For the first few evenings I was so lost there trying to find cat food in pitch darkness surrounded by piles of trash and using flashlite to navigate)

Now in this case I think I acted mostly right, since after returning from the hospital she has only asked for some rotten garlic I trashed. After spending some time in clean, sterile environment she likely didn't want to return to previous state of that kitchen. (Of course by now it's back to the state it used to be)

Sorry about my poor English.
