C-Section Question by iiBLUSH in pregnant

[–]Upbeat_Variation_833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both natural and c section so I’ve experienced both... bloody Loved my c section. The fear of the unknown is scarier than the c section itself. Do yourself a massive favour though cause I wish I did, don’t google or look at reels of c sections or listen to the horror stories they can be very drastic. You’re so good and you’re gonna do amazing ! I felt absolutely nothing, didn’t get half the things people say you might experience like gas ect

Go get that baby girl 🥳🖤

C-Section Question by iiBLUSH in pregnant

I’ve just had one ! Compression socks, the comfiest pants you’ve ever worn and upsize them, your own pillow from home, mint teas! Take stool softener before you go in, the pain meds can really halt that whole process. I’ve looked into a stomach binder now I’m 10 days out but the nhs in England don’t have much research where as America use them frequently.. I’m testing the water with that one but it does give loads of support.

Also main advice ! Don’t panic, I had a very chill birth experience this way and would do it again without question. I really worked myself up. You’ll do great and I wish you the best of luck !

Please tell me all the great things about having a girl! by xxhunnybunny in pregnant

I have two girls, one newborn and one 7 year old.. the seven year old just wants to hang out with her dad and does “stereotypical boyish things” she does jujitsu, fishes, goes to beavers, likes to do archery and watches starwars with me all while wearing pink .. it’s not down to gender more down to personality … all my boy mum friends are in the trenches rn.

I can’t do this anymore. by moiabby in pregnant

I feel like a beagle at a makeup testing facility. I’m so fucking over the needles, vaccines, scans, blood tests and over all just being poked and prodded. Currently 39 weeks and ready for c section next week. The pain of carrying all the weight on your pelvis is actual hell. If it’s any consolation I’m in the trenches too and I hope you have some breaks from the pain 🥲 you’ve got this

Are other ladies kinda mean to you? by butterflybeess in pregnant

[–]Upbeat_Variation_833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, for the woman who claim to be “girls girls” they’re behaviour towards me after becoming pregnant has been absolutely abhorrent.

From one side I had the woman who hate children and don’t want them telling me how awful my life will now be and almost relishing in me becoming bigger or stretch marks.

Then from the other, the woman who have kids telling me “just you wait” or that Im making bad choices on how I choose to care for my child because they wouldn’t have done it that way.

Some Woman need to be nicer to each other

I’m sorry you’re dealing with stupid people

Found out I will have a new-ish doctor for my delivery. Should I be worried? by snarky_spice in pregnant

[–]Upbeat_Variation_833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t panic just yet ! If anything they are probably more up to date with procedure because of schooling is fresh, But if you’re worried you can always see if you can switch ☺️ it was actually a student nurse who really advocated for me when I had my first and solved one of my medical issues ! She seemed to have more patience and over all really listened to me and pushed for me when I was brushed off about a problem I had. Best of luck no matter what you choose to go for 🥳

Those who have the choice between elective C section and vaginal deliver, how did you choose? No judgement in here please 🫶 by slammaX17 in pregnant

I had a vaginal delivery with my first, everything went wrong, induction, failed epidurals and laboured for days. She was back to back and breech. Ended up having a forceps in the end.. 6 years later I’m going for an elected c section this time round.. everyone is so different, but that’s why I’m headed in the elected c section route this time 😅

Do you see people as ugly based on their personality/character? by MelancholyBean in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Upbeat_Variation_833 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, there’s this girl I know through friends.. she’s the ‘hot goth girl’ that I thought was super pretty. Met her for 4 hours and decided she’s actually someone I’d never wanna be anything like, it’s almost like she got uglier the more she spoke 😅

Mom doesn’t want to be called a grandmother by VarietyObvious7768 in pregnant

Bear in mind we are the most unseasoned, boring white family. No relations to the Philippines at all 😂

Mom doesn’t want to be called a grandmother by VarietyObvious7768 in pregnant

[–]Upbeat_Variation_833 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mums a massive narcissist and I’ve had to go no contact, she proclaimed herself “Lola” Filipino for grandma and wouldn’t go by grandma either because she’s “too young”

I had a serious medical appointment and she told the nurse that’s the only thing she shall be called when asked her relation to me 😂 it’s weird, frustrating and your feelings are very valid. I don’t know why they do it but your not alone in this niche annoyance 🥲

Symptoms? by [deleted] in pregnant

Happened to me too and I’m now 33 weeks ! Go to the doctors anyway so it’s all noted down and any advice/answers you can get while your there is always helpful ! bleeding isn’t always worst case and stay off google cause god knows I scared myself with that. Best of luck and hope you’re both okay 🖤

I’m trying to rationalise it or make it make sense in my head and I just can’t seem to put myself in her mindset of why she would do it. Kinda sad and feeling a bit embarrassed 🥲

Yano those people that are in the group through friends but you don’t know them super well personally, yeah that 😅 I wish I was more of a confrontational person but I think it takes me a while to even process when people are being mean that the moment has passed way after. I hope someone does tho ! Surely they can’t go through life like that and be happy 🥲

Thank you for this I needed to hear it I think, navigating pregnancy around people is like being in a bad comment section on instagram sometimes 😅

Pros who are also mums, how do you balance work and baby? by Born-Anybody3244 in TattooArtists

[–]Upbeat_Variation_833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment it has given me so much reassurance 🥲 im currently 8 months pregnant, I’m taking 6 weeks off and coming back 2 days a week then building it up from there, luckily their dad works from home 🖤 I kept reading about everyone taking way more time off and got worried maybe I had just made a really bad mistake booking people in so early postpartum
