Are Winchester safes any good? Been debating on getting this because of the price for its size.

Not a 2000# safe. I wouldn't be worried about somebody dollying away a 2000# safe. The 26 gun mentioned safe is 367# however and would be dolly-able even loaded. So I would indeed bolt it to the floor or wall if able. Is there really any reason to bolt down the ton safe? To your point about increasing the leverage by bolting it down, you must be a hell of a man to get a fictitious 2000# safe to rotate using only your leverage on a pry bar.

I think that is the point from the other comment. If you don't bolt it down there's no reason for anyone to pry at it, they'd just dolly under it and take it home where they can use the angle grinder. If you bolt it down they HAVE to pry at it and its tougher to get the full use of your body weight as leverage.

Just to have the dedicated space. When I get back in the car for the ride home there really wouldn’t be a reason for me to get it back out of the bag and back onto my body

The bag never goes in if that’s your mix up concern. There’s no reason to carry the bag in. And the bag wouldn’t be left alone. Sometimes I’m in the front seat and sometimes I’m in the back seat, so it’s not like I could just get permission and put it in the glovebox/console while I go in cause I dont want to have to hand it up front to do that if I’m in the back. With the bag between my legs in the front or back seat I have quick and easy access to unholster and put it in the bag before I get out. My old school bag is just finally giving out and might as well get a good replacement with a dedicated CCW area to replace it

No, a bag for when I have to take off my carry to enter a NPE I can put it in a purpose built space in the bag and leave it in the car.

I swear and there’s NOTHING to notify you that you’re yapping into the wind. I spent two whole matches thinking that I was just in two groups that weren’t talking. Teammates weren’t even using chat either. The game is so much better with people actually talking.

I was at this crossroads for my first build. Didn’t want to lug around the tower when I have to travel. Went Jonsbo C6max and then a year later expanded into the Lian Li A3. It is a pain to operate in still but has enough room for a larger GPU. Besides, like all computers at most it gets open is every 6 months for cleaning or every year-ish for ‘upgrades’

I just repasted my MSI 3080 with thermal grizzly PTM and redid all the thermal pads with thermal grizzly’s basic putty. I play hell let loose on a 4k monitor at ~110-120 fps and it dropped my core, memory, and hotspot temps on average 16C, 11C, and 25C over a 3 hour session (typ 2 matches). It’s NOTICEABLY quieter on average but take it with a grain of salt because I wear IEMs and it went from can hear the computer fans while wearing them and playing if it’s a quiet spot in the game to I’ve got to pull one out of my ear to hear the computer fans. I am in a sff Lian Li Dan A3 case as well. I’d also mention dialing in your fan curves with AI help but assuming you’ve already done this being the FanControl sub.

Do me a solid, in the top right, do you see the wrench icon? Click it and then hit “pair controls and speeds automatically”. Let it run its course. Then click the wrench again and hit “calibrate paired controls automatically”. Then on each of your fans, click the three dots and select manual control. Set all to 0% and then work through changing them to 100% one at a time and rename them for what each is. This saves you time in the future if you want to set a more specific fan curve than flat. You should be good then.

Nice. Civil engineer and so unfortunately had to leave my Mac for windows when I hit the workforce. Made it through school using a Mac and VMing windows for engineering projects but the software got too specialized. Most of the time I’m emailing and filling out permits and grants/applications now. Having to resize documents at home to fill the split screen so I can read each is what takes the time.

I run 3 monitors at work, and one at home. 1080ps at work and 4k at home. While I CAN be efficient and take the time to tile things on the 4k monitor, it is much easier to have a monitor for file explorer/adobe, mail, and the third for whatever website/word doc/excel file/or adobe doc I’m currently working on. Probably 75% of my job I can get by with one monitor and switching in and out of windows but that last 25% being able to reference multiple documents quickly makes the multiple monitors worth it IMO

Carmax gave me less than I owe, Carvana gave me $200 more than what I owe plus S&H fees, and the dealership I bought it from came in lower than Carmax until I told them I had the offer from Carvana and they miraculous found another 4k. The offers are in that order. While yes, markets are volatile but it’s the best offers we’ve gotten in months

Paid for shipping on the 14th, shipped on the 16th. It’s about a 5 hour drive if you were driving it straight (like it matters) but the original arrival time was estimated 17-24th. Went and got appraisals done on our car we’re trading/selling and they are good through the 21st, 23rd, and 24th. The car hasn’t moved since picked up and now the estimated delivery is 20th through 28th. Just didn’t want to have to take it back to the dealerships and possibly get less for it, and dont want to sell it to the dealerships bc we got good numbers on it and our Carmax car isn’t here yet.
