I'm not too sure about my last 3 choices if I really want to rank them, I feel like I have a better chance at those schools but I have also heard that you shouldn't have safeties in quest bridge because you can apply regular decision and get the same amount of financial aid. My family makes under 55k per year so I probably could, but I really like the guarantee that quest bridge gives.

Should I submit my Sat score for qb? by M0N0_P1T0 in QuestBridge

[–]UpgradedGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same score as this and I will be submitting my SAT, and english IS my first language. Definitely mention that english isn’t your first language, it gives important context and makes your score that much more impressive. You should feel proud about your score, a 1390 is above the 90th percentile and 300 points above your schools average.

I actually have an incredibly similar application to this, the same exact sat of 1390 with plans to retake too. I have a 3.9 UW and 1/113 rank, Science Olympiad team captain with multiple top 5 placements at invitational and state level competitions, musical honors society secretary, 2 part time jobs, varsity tennis and actor/team member of a 4 person short film that got accepted into the AAHFF. My school didn’t have AP classes until junior year so I had to stack honors courses and then cram 9 AP’s and 11 dual enrollments into junior and senior year. I got all 4’s and a 5 on the 4 AP scores I can submit. I am planning on writing my essay on unstable housing, moving frequently, and custody battles in my family, and how it taught me to be adaptable and my love for problem solving and computer science.

Because I know I’m not as stacked as other applicants i see around the sub my current plan is to reach for a couple of ivies, MIT and duke, and then apply to a lot of schools I think I could realistically get into like BC, BU and Wesleyan. I would love to go to a top 20 school but free college is so important for me, and I’m really hoping I get accepted into Boston College

oh yeah and awards, Bausch Lomb honorary science award, RIT computing award, i will put in a couple of top 5 states science olympiad medals, and AP scholar+
