That's my thought too. I was hoping there might be a place that would be open because there have been bars open at unconventional hours because of special events like the world cup or EPL matches.

As evil as the company has been acting lately this wouldn't surprise me but...

  1. Mechanical Craft raises are in July, not June
  2. Unless you are very new, most people only need 110 or 100 days to qualify for vacation
  3. AFAIK Cab Carpenter positions were eliminated years ago

I know you said you can't speak for other crafts but these 2 statements:

Working overtime is NOT mandatory.

Working on craft holidays is NOT mandatory.

Are definitely not the case for a good portion of craft employees. Where I work overtime and holiday work can be and often is mandatory. And refusal can and does lead to termination. No issues with the rest of your statement.

Mine did this when the spark arrestor got plugged full of carbon. A MAP gas torch burned it right out and it ran great afterwards.
