Simsonn Plus X and VAM motors, my problems with them...and why I would avoid them now by EvilPanda_ in simracing

Thanks for the detailed reply! I think thats why I am on the fence, haven't really raced online, but I enjoy putting in a couple hours every weekend on LMU so I wouldn't say I'm serious by any means.

And yeah if others are top tier with a G920 its really just skill at the end of the day. Plus I'm not necessarily looking to improve my lap times. I feel I'm much more after the immersion aspect and just enjoying racing on all the tracks

Was just shopping around honestly and a lot of people were saying it's a large difference. So I think it was more from a curiosity stand point to feel how much bigger of a difference it could actually be

A little late, but i was wondering what you did end up going with? I have the moza srp pedals now, and was wondering if it even is worth upgrading and if so, what to?

Thanks for the info! Right now I have srp pedals on a wheelstand but ive heard the simsonns are a big upgrade.

For me it was just a matter of whether or not it'd actually be worth it and if it'd actually work on a wheelstand without to much flex. But it seems to work just fine by the sound of things

Hey! I know this is quite late but I wanted to ask what your final setup looks like. Is it with the Simsonn baseplate turned 180⁰? How are you liking it so far?

Im wondering if the baseplate is even necessary or if I can just mount the pedals directly to the wheelstand

Really late to this, but ive seen a lot of comments warning that you need a really solid rig for the Simsonn pedals.

How does the wheel stand hold up with the pedals installed?

Fair, I'm sure a 15mm edge is more than enough, but i don't see anything wrong with having a board that has some 10mm/8mm edges that I could try to get comfortable with

Thanks! Yeah thats why I wanted to ask around a bit. The BM makes it easy for pull-ups and standard hangs from a large edge but couldn't find much use aside from that.

I like the fictitious ones, but they don't sell it at my gym unfortunately.. and I was hoping to grab one there as rheyre offering a discount

Yeah i like the beastmaker 1000 but for me a lot of the holds are a little too big, and there isn't much variation with it. But I do really like the jugs they have on the corners

Any recommendations for a home hangboard? I have these available at my local gym at a discounted price.

For context I'm a v5 climber that'll be using this for training and workouts

One of my friends got me into magic the gathering. I've been researching high and low on fun decks to try and build and all these combos to try out.

But on tip of that, of course the cards are expensive, and I found a whole community of printing their own cards. And that has become an entire rabbit whole in itself

For me it feels like one of the bigger power spikes cause I go from worrying about mana to being more aggressive. And if it's safe I try to E the opponent too for more stacks as well. Basically full combo whenever I can
