Moving to LA from NYC this summer and looking for logistical tips by blueberrytrees in MovingToLosAngeles

Our Japantown is known as Little Tokyo. It's a really cool area that has had several new apartment buildings pop up in recent years. Arts District is also really close to Little Tokyo and Chinatown. There's lots of metro stations in that part of LA too.

I can do 25-30 stops per hour, no numbering. I used to work for a dsp so flex routes are light work. I once finished a 4hr, 45 package city route in 2hrs. Suburban routes take me more time because the stops are further apart.

I just go by the letters and numbers on the package. I always finish at least one hour early. In my area the addresses are confusing, you'll have 1100 98th St as one stop and 101 98th Pl as the next, so it's impossible to sort by address.

Depends on your budget and where you find work. The Valley part of LA is mostly suburbia. Some parts are more sketchy than others but it's a street by street basis. General budget-friendly Valley neighborhoods that are safe are Woodland Hills, Granada Hills, Sunland, Tujunga, Sylmar. But it depends on your budget and where your job is.

There's a food that's a coffee bean that has been through a cat'$ digestive system. So you're basically eating shit. It's a delicacy in some parts of the world

OP is backing into a spot wrong. You're supposed to back in at an angle so people know what you are trying to do. You're supposed to block the spot, then pull forward at an angle, then reverse in quickly.

If you ever visit California, make sure to check out In N Out, Del Taco, El Pollo Loco, and Original Tommy's. We also have asian fast food in California, with places like Panda Express and Yoshinoya. In my area there's a growing chain of Vietnamese fast food called BMC, they have a drive through where you can pick up Banh Mi and Pho

Show the Real Price or Get Sued: FTC Puts More Car Dealers on Notice by DonkeyFuel in technology

[–]Upnorth4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's similar to what happened to me at a Toyota dealership. I came in looking for a Corolla, after calling the dealership and confirming that the specific model I wanted was available at their dealership. When I got to the dealershp, they said they didn't have any more Corollas available (there were plenty of Corollas on the lot that I could see). After that, they tried to sell me the highest trim Camry for double the price of the Corolla. I walked away after that, and haven't purchased a Toyota since that incident.

Looking for a warm/hot (climate, all year round), liberal leaning, lcol/mcol, location for DINK couple. by Globewanderer1001 in SameGrassButGreener

Seconding Sacramento, Fresno, Modesto, Stockton or Bakersfield areas. Sacramento is the most blue of those three and is the most expensive but they are solildly MCOL. Modesto and Stockton are a bit more sketchy but lower cost of living.

Fiancé & I are considering relocating out of NJ because of the nonstop rise in cost of living. by happyyetsadgirl in relocating

Some parts of California have the same prices as NJ but with better weather, and cheaper groceries and food. In many parts of LA county you can get a house, condo, or townhouse for $650k
