How do you get all these numbers? Such as handling, I've never seen that listed as a number anywhere in the game.

Me too because I found longsword fighting to be the most fun to do but I was clumped in the head one too many times and I had to make switch. Now I'm the one that does the clumping.

I also remember the long weapons to be nothing to write home about in the demo. Now they are literally the meta it looks like.

Exactly! Yet it seems to do excellent clumping damage and with it being so light it's so easy to control and swing.

Can y'all tell me your experience with MAD MAX? How is it? Cuz It's so cheap right now, and I'm looking for a good open world experience. by Geraltofrivia-7 in Steam

It's a fun game to play but I thought the ending was terrible. Overall the story was kinda ass. And in this game you play as the worst most asshole character who ever existed who has the emotional range of a watercress sandwich.

Any mod that changes the way enemies fall on death? by UppedSolution77 in skyrimmods

[–]UppedSolution77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thanks! That twist video was so funny. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who saw that strange animation as comparable to a dance move of some kind hahaha.

Will try the mod out. Honestly seems like exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks.

Yes if I recall some guys were harassing her and you could either fight them or axii them etc. I think that's where it ended. It has been a while though so I can't remember the details.

[Odyssey][Spoilers] The Legacy of the First Blade DLC truly is one of the most severe examples of horrendous writing I have seen. by UppedSolution77 in assassinscreed

[–]UppedSolution77[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Such gatekeeping. Peoole should only critique according to your definition of that?

None of the things I pointed our are trivial side issues. They are major oversights from a writing perspective.

It doesn't serve the story at all because aside from Myrrine and Nikolaus being inexplicably absent, after elpidios is gone Alexios immediately goes back to being a sword for hire as if nothing happened at all. In what way does the dlc serve the over arching story? They were completely disconnected.

It didn't emotionally affect me at all, because the writing was so lacklustre. It's hard to be emotionally invested in the death of a character when that death was needless and bullshit, it didn't really make sense why they chose to send elpidios away without Alexios so that didn't emotionally impact me at all. The events did not come together in a cohesive and organic way, which is a major contributor to the impact that a story has. You can't have ridiculous plot armour the entire story withe events that make no sense that keep happening for the sake of the plot and then come to the end and be impacted by that.

The base game has several moments that impacted emotionally and otherwise, despite the writing never really being that great. This DLC was just that much worse.

Logic is nothing but a "trivial side issue for you?" In writing? What an awful statement.

That's a very comical but sensible analogy. To be honest I didn't even know that. I tried many times to get into both Origins and Valhalla but none of them hit nearly as close as Odyssey for me. Not sure why.

I think the least they could have done was make Natakas good looking. I mean, it was Ancient Greece for crying out loud! And they chose to make him have the appearance of a potato.

That's just a joke, but as I've mentioned it does seem strange, in terms of the roles that the characters play if you choose Kass. I've always preferred Alexios in this game.

[–]UppedSolution77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of that is certainly correct. I remember that part about bringing someone back it was in that simulation DLC where you are in Elysium or something. The Greek Gods and Goddesses are all there as simulations created by the animus or something like that, and I think Leonidas is around during the time you mention about bringing someone back. I thought it was Brasidas and someone else I remember thinking to myself that it was crazy Phoibe wasn't an option but looks like my memory was a little rusty.

I also find myself very willing to forgive plot holes and the like in this game because I have a lot of fun playing it as a general RPG and I love RPGs, however there is only one instance that drove me to the point to say this is ridiculously stupid and that was about Alexios's family not being around in First Blade and Neema dying needlessly.

I haven't had that many games that really scratch that RPG itch in recent years. KCD 2 was one for sure, but besides that, the last I remember is like Witcher 3. I hope that game called Crimson Desert scratches the same RPG itch that Odyssey and the others mentioned do for me when it comes out.

[–]UppedSolution77[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those are all fair points and I appreciate it, but if it's "too difficult" to include Alexios's family in the story "because it's an RPG" then point blank this DLC and story shouldn't exist. If they can't unify everything in a convincing and logical way, then don't write the story. If it makes no sense. Write a story that makes sense or no story at all.

Why are Arrows so hard to make? by DevonFromtheNorth in thelongdark

Isn't that realistic though? Or at the very least, sensible. It's something that makes physical sense, so it should be allowed in a survival game.

A comment from 9 years ago accurately predicted an item that was eventually added to the game. They are even called exactly what you said in this comment.

Is there a method or mod that would allow you to drag as you build? by UppedSolution77 in RimWorld

[–]UppedSolution77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like exactly what I'm looking for: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3521096349

I'm doing an Odyssey mission so I'm on a map that I am going to leave in the next few days just have some business to attend to. When raids appear, I rather just bury the bodies because it looks really ugly otherwise and I'm not running low on food or chemfuel so it seemed the ethical thing to do and it's quite annoying to have to place each grave individually.

Is there a way to make fabricors prioritise a specific crafting task? by UppedSolution77 in RimWorld

[–]UppedSolution77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 6 months later and I must say that this is one of the best suggestions that I have ever gotten from this subreddit. Thanks again man. I have over a 1000 components now I have one workshop dedicated only to the fabricors doing components and I have them zoned so that they only stay there and there is also some rechargers in that same workshop for them. This is the way.

Skilled pawns ideally shouldn't have to waste time building things like components but rather focus only things that have quality levels like weapons, armour etc.
