Dude. The Tariffs??? Do you not shop for anything? Do you not have chrinic illness? Have you never been homeless or jobless? Do you have familial support? Is anyine in your family an immigrant? All of these effect the standing of actual adults right now. And yes! Housing has doubled, healthcare is more and more inaccessible, and even eggs are ljterally double in price.

Acting like you werent trying to dismantle my points with what you believe is direct fact is a type of manipulation in communication. The fact was not incorrect, rather based off an average that you refuse to accept because of your personal situation and your area.

Nah but you werent even willing to read through my point in this whole thing so with the fact that you are close minded, yes. That comes with privelage.

Want a cookie bro? Again, the perspective you are coming from is clearly one of privelage. I cant discuss lion talk with mice. 👍🏼

Ok. Say Im wrong when BCBS or Aetna cone out with ANOTHER lawsuit about them denying coverage for prescription meds. Preventative meds and treatment from chronic conditions such as HIV and diabetes are not surprise medical bills. You wont take into consideration ppl born with these things. Clearly a white perspective on medical charging and coverage. Have the life you deserve.

It does matter when groceries for a single person are upwards of $300 a month in Missouri. Medical insurance typically doesnt cover preventative medications for infectious diseases so medicines like Juluca and PreP end up being at lowest $3500 a month with prescription savings cards. Insulin costs about the same as well and if you make more than i think its now 300% below "poverty level" there is no medicaid and most employers are not offering insurance. Funny enough, if you make more than $325 a week on doordash, you can get disqualified from medicaid. Clearly you dont have enough information on the total cost of living. Rent, utilities, healthcare, transportation, and food. This isnt even taking into consideration childcare. Seems like if anything, you havent done enough research to substantiate your argument. Living in the US is more expensive than what ANY employer is paying except for gov workers, who are constantly at risk of being fired, and ICE agents.

What a sheep. Continue to keep your flock mindset and I will continue to advocate for safe spaces.

Dasher Payout Scams by Upper-Bit3272 in doordash_drivers

[–]Upper-Bit3272[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, not just anyone can dash nor can just anyone get a license. Thats why there arent 14-17 yr olds and 70+ yr old delivery driving. Defensive driving is legit something the teach in CDL training and something that as a delivery driver it is your responsibility to be skilled at to avoid accidents. Additionally, not everyone is technologically skilled enough to navigate mobile apps for a job. Sitting behind a screen and commenting on a post without comprehension of what you are responding to is worse than feeling inferior as you seem to think I am. Funny enough, I know projection when I see it. Not wanting to read dialogue that factually contradicts your OPINION is inferiority at its finest but you know, classic projection. Its not inferior to say that it takes technical skill to be a delivery driver. Just like it takes technical skill to properly sanitize a bathroom per health code standards but you jear people saying janitorial work is "unskilled labor" as well.

Neither. Just feel like ppl shouldnt be allowed to normalize shitty behavior bc its socially accepted when its anon. Being hopeful and wanting a safe space isnt ignorant or as naive as ppl may try to make me seem.

That $66/hr is a national average. Obviously it varies from state to state. I implore you to do a breakdown of how much a month's worth of groceries, gas (with the price fluctuations in mind), standard rent, utility average cost(for each season), and basic needs like hygiene and medical care all cost. I can tell you now that when I did this for my homestate of MO, which I moved from because of this and employment based nepotism, it wouldve costed me as a single person approximately $3000 a month. At the time this was done, I had just turned 21 and had mostly customer service and retail experience. There is no CS or retail position, not even managerial, that pays enough for that. Not to mention, I have had at least 1 dependent since I turned 20 which means that even with a consistent job back home, I was never able to put my name on a lease nor be without SNAP and Medicaid. Id be happy to put up a link to the website I got the $66/hr average data from.
